Anytime a starter goes down and is replaced by his backup then there will be some drop off... How much, who knows .. If Parnell was better than Free then he would be the starter.. I think they could and should be alright .. But we will see

There was no drop off even Miles Austin took over for an injured Roy Williams.
Doug free is out 3-4 weeks. Has anyone seen how Parnell has performed this year in practice?
We going to have a drop off and potential weakness to exploit? Or will the OL be business as usual?
It never occurred to me to think that he won't do the best he can. The question is, is his best good enough? My initial guess is that in the run game it is, and in the pass game, they're going to have to give him more help than they give Free.It really depends on how Parnell plays with the opportunity he has.
Parnell knows that this is his best shot to make it in this league. He has about 3-4 weeks to show the NFL what he has to offer. This was already basically a contract year for him, and now you consolidate that into a 3-4 week period for him.
If he can play better than Free, he might be able to stay in the lineup, and he knows he would have a future either he replacing Free or on another team.
I expect him to put his best effort forward.
