I'm curious about the offensive game plan against the Cards, who have two very good DEs. They'll put a lot of pressure on us so the key for Bledsoe will be to get rid of the ball quickly or else we can expect to see him get sacked quite a bit. So if I were deveoping a gameplan for this game I would design it around the running game firs to limit the passing situatuions needed. And for passing I would use quick passes to WRs, passes to backs out of the backfield, and would severely limit the downfield passes.
For the running game i would play Anthony Thomas over Barber because he is good at both running and catching passes out of the backfield. I would also activate Thompson and deactivate Barber for this game. Or best route-running/pass catching back is still Anthony Thomas which is why I would take him over Barber for this game.
To guarantee completions from quick QB throws to WRs, we must have our best posession WRs catching passes by running crisp short routes underneath the coverage in the flats and over the middle of the fileed. To me that means Keyshawn Johnson and Jason Witten should play an integral role. Also important will be the backs out of the backfield.
The X-factor will be Tucker's (at LT) and Pettiti's (at RT) ability to hold their own more times than not. If they can do that, that will free up Jason Witten more to go out for passes. If instead we need to keep Witten in to help in pass protection then we're going to have a long day offensively because we will be left with only one posession WR (i.e. Key). That's because Terry Glenn and Pearless Price are pure speed guys, and with a heavy pass rush I don't see many downfield passes being of much use, provided the limited time Bledsoe will have to get rid of the ball.
