How Smart Is Our Front Office

Afternoon all, I was pondering on this thought last night after the Commanders released McClain. Do you think our front office looks at the roster of all NFL teams and kind of assesses who will be released before/after the draft? Obviously everything is based on probabilities but it would be awesome if (our team's front office), were that smart. Maybe I'm just overthinking, your thoughts?

Yes, they have people that analyze rosters and salaries. They have a good idea of who they believe will be released after the draft.

No, I don't think they put much if any focus on that.

They might look at the remaining free agents and give that some consideration.

The McClain release shows that the Cowboys made the correct decision not to pay him to stay last year.

I never really thought they were that smart. Mcclay and Richards may up the brain power on the staff a smidget but the idiocy to IQ ratio in the FO is still in the red

The FO hasn't really changed.......but the one now holding the reigns has.

I credit our FO the most of all for allowing their scouts and Will McClay as their chief for improving our talent evaluation. It's probably the biggest singular reason for our improvement in the quality of our drafts. Jerry's involvement in the drafting process has finally subsided greatly.
