The most recent draft show I tuned into shared some pretty good perspective on this years draft. They discussed the lack of top end defensive talent in this class and at what point do you consider these guys reaches. Brugler made a good point that when creating the board and evaluating the talent for this year you have to have perspective that it is for THIS year. So while taking someone like Farley at 5/6 might be a reach in other drafts it may not be in this class if he is the top CB.

Some of my favorite prospects in this class so far are guys I'm not sure I'd be comfortable taking, even in a trade down, but feel like they could be gone by our 2nd round pick.

- Trevon Moehrig - S
- Nick Bolton - LB (if he runs well)
- Jaelan Phillis - DE
- Marvin Wilson - DT
- Christian Darisaw - OT

How early would you take these guys? Who are "your guys" and how early would you take them?

Moehrig would be amazing he’s one of my guys. His range starts around 25-26ish to me and he could last until the teens in the second round.

If he tests outta this world at the combine he might be a lock as the best safety in the class. If they aren’t eye-popping numbers I say we have a decent chance of getting him with our outright 2nd round pick or one acquired in a trade down.

In a normal draft, Safeties, non-rush Linebackers usually are taken at the top of rd 2, they maybe pushed up now to late 1st rd picks. Tackles are always overdrafted due to the need.

He's a stud...S prospects are usually good against the run or pass and it's hard to find both but he's a pretty balanced prospect.

He's someone I'd be open to trading back into the 1st for if the team feels good about him.

Phillips should be 3rd at earliest due to concussion issues.

As a TCU fan I LOVE Moehrig. Would take him anywhere from 20th and later. Great trade down candidate.

im still riding with 1 Surtain. Not that mocks matter but he's rising up boards.
In the second i'm open to safety,LB= Nick Bolton, S= P Ford or Cisco/ I prefer N Bolton
Whatever we do in the second Caden Sterns is an option but somewhere soon I'll start looking for both sides of the lines.
If we do trades the first pick will change

Phillips does have some injury concern but based on his tape I'd be shocked if he makes it out of the top 50. I like his tape better than Rousseau and Paye who will likely be way overdrafted.
