Getting 1st downs early in the game seems to be a major issue. vs the colts going into the 4th qtr the boys had 3 Td's, 21 pts isn't bad except the colts had scored 19. The best thing the offense can do is help keep this defense off the field by getting those 1st downs, esp early. The double edged sword of this defense is not the porous run defense, it's them giving up big pass plays even though their strength is rushing the passer. Limit their offensive possessions and force them into obvious passing situations is key.

Which I answered with Bears and GB.
We scored 49 points against the Bears.

We scored 28 Points against the Pack

Your opinion on "Stumbling," and miner are very different. Now if you want to say Daks interception was stumbling as we should have had 35 points... ok... I might give you that, but that is one play, hardly means the offense as a whole was "Stumbling."

I'm not talking final score, I'm talking the gameplan away from the run, as I keep saying it allowed the Bears back into the game and us losing possession late on vrs Packers.
We have a tendency to abandon the run, it looks as if we do it when we think the games won and could be Moore (or even Dak) wanting to highlight our throwing game... for me, I'd prefer to win on the ground playing 70's football (as you previously termed it), that throwing into coverage just to highlight the scheme design or Dak's arm.

I think that is simply your bias showing. No way in hell is Moore trying to showcase our throwing attack. And the score is the ultimate report card that is not subjective.

Your entire opinion on this is 100% subjective. How many points we score is the only thing that matters.... not how we do it. Im gonna go back and watch that final quarter against GB. I have a suspicion that your analysis is going to be different than what the reality of the game was.

For whom or what am I showing bias? As I say we stumble when we forego the run game, nothing to do with the score, especially as I believe in the Bears game we went back to the run. I think you're one of the only fans ive heard that doesnt think we should base the offense on run first basis.

.......then again I dont know what points you're actually trying to make?

I never said we should not have balance and run the ball. But unlike you, I am not going to jump to a conclusion and say when we stumble on offense(what does that even mean? which was my point about saying it isnt possible to stumble when you score 49) it is due to going away from the run game. The number 1 reason drives stall is because a penalty puts us in a 1st and 20 situation. Id love to see the stat on the % of drives that result in a punt that had an offensive penalty involved. It easy to say we abandoned the run... but did we really?

You can still score points and stumble during a game. The Colts game for instance was an example of a stumbling Offense that came around in the 4th quarter....(based on a successful run game I may add).
