How the heck do you kcik/punt in madden?

Ok. So in my madden 2005 game, i can't even manage to kick an extra point, and mcbriar shanks 4out of 5 punts. I created a new punter and kicker, they suck just as bad. I figured rookie problems, right? So I trade for david freakin akers(yes im that desperate) and still a no go...what the hell!

you have to kick it to the max and on the way down you have to get it between the yellow lines which is the accuracy and the more accuracy the kicker has the bigger it will be
