How the mighty are falling...

Eli is talented but his brother is special and it is not fair to his own expectations. He was also much hyped, he was overpaid for and the man he was traded for is doing swimmingly so it is a cocktail of bad press clipings. He is still the man that will be behind center for 10 years in New York, he will never win a Super Bowl however. If i have my way he will be like Archie Manning and play for losers, it seems to be a Manning consistency to choke in the playoffs, I hope Dallas does play New York in the playoffs for that very reason.

It's just so much whining. The trade didn't hurt them, it didn't help as much as they thought, but they didn't necessarily lose out on a LT they thought they could get and they can always go after one in FA, it's past time to give up on Petigout.

Yea, I didn't really care for Ellie's spoiled brat act to force the draft day move to NY, but that story is filled with a bunch of "ifs".
Nicely ironic, however, that it turned out be a "be careful what you wish for" situation for Ellie. He wanted to be in the big market of New York and now he is getting hammered by their press.
 
What's really funny is, Eli isn't even as good as the guy the Giants could have had for free. :D

Rivers is the guy I'm really glad we don't have to face twice a year.

Rivers is doing much better w/ a similar cast, minus the #1 WR ELi has in Plax

I think Eli wouldn't be a bad choice as the #1 pick overall, at least going into that draft. But he definatley wasnt worth an extra 1st rounder, and the 3rd and 5tg
