There are some things about the Philly game, and how it has set up that I am not feeling good about.

1. McNabb moved around a lot better Sunday Night, and was more accurate.

2. I think they will be feeling upbeat about TO being gone. They will use this to rally together.

3. This game is in their House.

4. They always play well on Monday Night, especially at home.

5. They have lost the last 2 games, will they really lose 3 straight?

6. We embarrased them last time, and they are looking for revenge and respect.

7. They are Desperate!

Philly as a whole does not scare me anymore, I think we have a better team right now as a whole, but this 1 game worries me.
Sometimes there are a lot of factors that play into a game, and I have a worried feeling about this one. The same feeling I had going into Oakland knowing how desperate they where.

Big time players step up and make plays in Big time games. Ours will have to Monday Night!

I expect Philly to blitz the heck out of us, they will attack from the word go in this one, WE BETTER HAVE BLEDOSE PROTECTED!

We are going to need our Defense and Special Teams to step up huge, and make plays and create turnovers. I do not think this is going to be a high scoring game on either side, a couple plays will be the difference.

A lot of people here are predicting BLOW OUT, I do not see that at all.
This will be a tough game! :starspin

I agree and expect a much closer game but I do think Dallas has closed the gap on Philly talent wise. Our defense has been playing very consistent as the young guys do not have to think as much and offensively if we can give Bledsoe some time I think he can exploit the eagle’s secondary as he did in the 1st meeting

They've beaten us X amount of tmes ... mostly without TO. But for once, I think, we finally bring our own guns to the table.

Here's one thing for sure ... they won't be able to run on us. That's a big factor in our favor. If we can shut down their passing game, or at least limit it ... we'll have a decisive advantage.

If we can get up early and keep our foot on their neck, then we have a chance. Philly's TOP will be horrible, and we need to take advantage of the additional time allowed to us. We can't sit on the clock and milk it ... we need to use it and score.

Their DL is hurting and we need to lean on them into the 4th quarter. This reminds me of how we used to bully teams into submission back in the 90's ... lean on them with our massive OL, until they crumble. Keep their D on the field, and pound them with JJ and MBIII.

If we can run the ball early, the game's over!!!

Philly will play well, will be tough to win, but very possible. I think now that T.O. situation is done, they will rally around McNabb.

I agree. It will be a defensive battle. Parcells will surely try to pound the ball and give the Eagles very little opportunity to hit Bledsoe. We just need to withstand the Eagles initial wave of emotion early on. Hopefully this Suisham kid doesn't cost us the game. We cant afford to leave easy points on the field if we expect to win this one.

The first game we attacked philly with the pasing game form the start. If they blitz and are more aggressive, im hoping we show them the draw with julious, and run some screens and short dumpoffs to barber to get them to back off.

This game could be a big day for witten, TE's have been giving the eagles trouble the past few weeks.

But our team cannot afford to be careless, sloppy or lax against this eagles team in philly on monday night.

I think the gameplan for Philly is clear, especially after watching the Skins victory.

On defense

1) Keep DMac off balance. Blitzes, delayed blitzes, etc...

2) Protect against the screen to Westbrook

On offense

1) Attack the secondary with quick passes thereby exploiting their blitz.

2) Establish a running game early

3) Make a couple of big plays early

4) Hold onto the football

This game even more than the first will establish us as a contender and signal the end of Philly as the perennial NFC East champs.

Football is a game of emotion, but it's also a game of talent and strategy. Philly is just as one-sided offensively as they were when we played them the first time, but they've lost one of their three biggest offensive weapons. This game isn't about the Feagles' desparation. This game is about whether or not Dallas shows up to play. We're the better team. We play our game it won't matter how pissed off or "together" or emotional they are.

Position by position ratings

QBs ----Philly
RBs ----Dallas
WRs----Dallas
TEs ----Dallas
OL -----Philly
K------Philly
DL ----- Dallas
LBs----- Dallas
DBs ---- Dallas
P ------Dallas

There are only a couple ways I see us not winning this game.

(1) Mcnabb factor , If he has one of his superman games it can be hard to stop and even though he has not done this often this year , he is still capable.

(2) Dallas is too over confident from the last Philly meeting.

(3) Stale after the bye week.

Dallas at this point is a much better team .

Dallas 31
Philly 10

Put a fork in them !!!!

We have some liabilities on D that they will try to take advantage of ... for instance, what's the situation with Henry?? Sure, TO is gone but they still have that rookie that took it to the house last game. He could be a problem if we don't pay attention.

Also, we seem to be a bit thin in the linebacker department. If we don't have early stops, they could get tired and make mistakes late in the game ... we need to close this game with big D not a flatering tired one.

Are Tucker and Petiti going to keep improving or will they take a step back?

They've seen our gameplan once, I don't know if they'll let Glenn t-off on them again.

Just thoughts ... but, Dallas really needs this win, because Denver is going to be very very difficult.

One more thing ... we need to let Roy hit McNabb ...

I agree with a lot of what you are saying
But
as thin as we are at linebacker we are still deeper and more talented than they are at the position.

Yeah they seen are game plan but BP is no dummy and we did blow them out early and early enough to keep some of the groceries in the cupboard.

We beat the Giants and if I am not mistaken the Giants beat Denver.
We do have Denver at home.
I think Denver should be a little worried about the Dallas Cowboys!!!

I am not that worred about their D- we will move the ball on them. That Brown looks like he could be a threat- so man Newman on him if Henry can't play. That is the only WR they have that even looks like a threat. I would put Glenn on westbrook to follow him everywhere- and that takes care of their O.

LJ Smith may be gone for the game too.

No TO. No LJ. That's a lot of firepower to lose.

And don't forget, they have Cortez! Lol

Good point. Right before Cortez attempts a FG just have Larry Allen walk past Cortez that should shake him up. LOL

Isnt their regular kicker back?
I think they are just using Cortez for kickoffs now to save Akers???

I checked it out and I see Akers did kick for the extra point and hit a 34 yarder.

They're pretty lucky not to have already lost 4 straight, and 5 of the last 6. They've been fortunate with some normally reliable opposing kickers having bad games against them. Janikowski's only miss from inside 40 yards was against them (and the Eagles won by 3 points). Kaeding's only unsuccessful FG attempt so far was the one the Eagles blocked and returned for a TD in another 3-point Eagle win.

The Eagles are this close to being a 2-6 team.

Good post, if we "spy" Westbrook and MacFlab on "D" I think we'll have shutdown 80% of their firepower.
