Romo has to be worried. Witten may be out for the year. That injury was a direct result of starting LT from 2011 and current RT Doug Free missing the block.

SanDiego has one of the top Defenses in the NFL, Saterday night.

I'm sorry, but I don't think things have "changed." Anyone predicting 4-12 for this team is going to get blasted. Jimmy Johnson, yes that Jimmy Johnson, just predicted us at 12-4. What do you see that he doesn't?

I'm in between those numbers but I don't see us below 8-8 under any circumstance.

Um...I am not sure this oline is any better than last year. Our WR's are already beat up and we still have safeties that struggle with coverage. Our d-line is still below average.

The flip side is our LB's should be better as a unit, and our CB should be able to cover better. 8-8 is realistic. 4-12 is a bit extreme.

The reason i say 4-12 is i don't see Romo surviving 16 games. The interior of the OL is a mish mash at best and all injured with only 3 weeks till the season starts. Nagy who was either looking for a start of depth has been released. I really can't see Romo lasting.

We have an excellent backup QB. Now if they both go down early 4-12 or 3-13 is a real possibility.

Also as was just pointed out our schedule is horrendous. BAL & PIT. also other good defensive teams. Really can't see Romo lasting.

I used to be a poster on here but in April after the draft i said that Dallas had made a MASSIVE mistake by NOT drafting an OL man and was hounded off this site by Silverbear and many others for saying it would come back to haunt them that they'd spend over $100m on CB and a $1 on the line. Now 4/5 months down the line it seems everyone is saying what i said months ago. How times have changed. No one agreed with me then but i bet you all do now.

My prediction then was with a weak OL we would be 4-12. This i stick by. Who thinks different now?

I bet more than half this forum agreed that we could have gone another direction in the draft. Of course, we have to look forward and look for positive as well...and Mo Claiborne POS player by an means.
Anyway, you can be sure that your thinking we should have gone OL that was not remotely original.

But a 4-12 prediction?
Now that IS truly worth getting hounded over.

Our line was awful last year and what did we go? It can't get worse than last year man.

Why can't it get worse than last year? It certainly is within the realm of possibilities. If Costa cannot get healthy he could be worse. The guards could be worse. Free and Smith could struggle with the switch, for at least part of the season. I don't see how you can say it can't be worse - it most certainly can.

Uhmmm..what starting oline are you talking about...Dallas doesn't have such a thing and the season starts in three weeks.


No matter who you have starting they won't have time to gel as a unit by game 1, Wed night vs the lowly Giants and thier porus D.

The only two starters out there versus Oakland were Smith and Free.. One Guy just learned to snap 5 minutes before the game.. And the other two were on the couch eating wings the previous nite..

Well it'll come back to haunt them if Romo goes down and Witten can't go either.
