Poor NFL, they still dont see this coming. They caught a glimpse of it in 2014 with group still new to each other, a rookie and 2nd year player included.

Now the Cowboys have added genuine firepower behind a power wall, a hammer in Morris, a jet engine in Zeke.

The Cowboys will run. If they are unsuccessful at first, they will continue to run. No defense can last a full game of these 300 pound headhunters at the 2nd level. Business decisions will be made, DB's will not commit to sacrificing their body to stopping these RB's 40 times in one game.

The most exposed victims will be thoae scary, QB destroying DE's, scaled down in weight and girth to maximize speed and escapability. The latter word will take on a whole new meaning, as they attempt to escape the punishment of this offensive line being the aggrssor.

Each of these elite linemen have the same diabolical pleasure, seeing the expression on a DB's face as he realizes he is the last hope to tackle the runner and this offensive linemen is between the two of them.

Just when they can't take any more of Morris and his pounding style, in comes a young combination of premium speed and power. Wait, here comes anothr runner later in the season, their thousand yard rusher from last season.

New quarterback a raw rookie? So what? Its not like the opponents are going to have time to savor a sack or two. This offensive line will just keep hitting.

Even winning will feel like losing to Cowboy opponents. All these teams made personnel decisions to stop a league wide trend of prolific passing games.

You will see at some point a curious tendency on the part of the Cowboy offense. At some point in some games they wont even cover or disguise their intent. It wont matter if the defense knows they are going to run.

Anybody remember a quarterback by the name of Joe Ferguson? During his rookie year he was the starter but very few remember. Once you find out who he was it wont be difficult to understand why defenses did not base their strategy on bullying a rookie quarterback.

The NFL MVP this season will be a.group of co-winners.

Totally agree. I am soooooo looking forward to smash mouthing some fools in a major way!!! And if we can make just enough plays in the passing game to force defenses to respect it, the second half of most games will French bread for most defenses - as in the answer to the question: "what is pain?!!"

I cannot wait to see the first time Lael Collins gets to the second level and is out in front of zeke with a head of steam. Will he be able to stay with him like he did with Mcfadden last year 30 yards down field that was awesome. He plays with a mean streak i like

It is an interesting dynamic in a league that has migrated to passing and nickel defenses.

If I was a new HC, my priorities would be spending 4 premium picks in the first few years on just OL. The rest would be on pass defense and WR. You just do yourself so many favors, and with the importance on QB's, you not only give increase a young guys learning curve, confidence and take pressure off him with a better run game, but you help protect the most important offensive asset on the field when you have a franchise QB.

They probably don't because life spans on HC are so short nowadays. But, I think it's really a significant advantage in this league the way Dallas has fortunately set up the OL.

If our coaching staff is smart they should use the OL ( elite Run blocking unit ) to pound the DL and use occassional safe short throws to keep it up initially , hopefully with our good RBs / WRs we will be able to move the ball and keep the score ticking, D should play not to get beat and give up easy scores , if thats the case come 4th quarter the opponents D will be gassed and OL can impose itself.

I think too much pressure is being placed on the OL.

It can't play defense..

it can't call DAKs plays..

it can't play special teams punt and KO coverage which is a weakness.

I think you have to be careful placing all your eggs in one basket to win.

I expect the offense to have problems as teams are going to sell out to stop DAK and then load the box on Zeke.

Can Prescott overcome that.?

It's a playmaker league..

That's the question.

While our OL is the best in the NFL when they're playing up to their capabilities, I would like to see a bit more consistency from this unit. They only live up to their hype some of the time...

Stop the stupid penalties, that should have been the message all off season. Stop stop stop the penalties, I see a long play and im saying "its coming back" We gotta attack attack attack. and use all our guys. Even if its a play or two or something. This offensive line has got to get offensive. Another reason ill take the Colombos. Get out there and attack.

All game Pollack should be screaming "impose your will, impose your will" The mantra of our line.

Yet still, over and over we see statistically, you have to pass to win

Vernon scares me, he had a pretty good game against Smith last year for the Dolphins.

Yes, we'll have to pass more efficiently than our opponent if we want to win consistently.

But running well and running often makes it harder for your opponent to play pass defense.

I agree 100 percent, we had the same Oline last year and how many games did we win? Zeke is probably a much better back, but when teams are putting 7 8 into the box nobody can run consistently. Teams are going to make Dak beat them passing the ball.

We have to protect the football and not fall behind big early for this style of play to work.

Yes, but that old smashmouth, run the ball down their throats attitude is not going to get us anywhere. Thus isn't 1970

I hope Tyron Smith is sick of hearing how Olivier Vernon had a decent game against him, and manhandles him tonight to put the exclamation on this W
