How Thorton Changes The Draft

Now that the Cowboys signed Cedric Thorton to replace Hayden at 1 tech this gets rid of a big need. Many of us were taking a 1 tech in the 2nd, but now we can use the pick for a different position like receiver, corner, or safety. Who do you now want in the 2nd?

Very little. We werent going to draft a 1 Tech that high. If we drafted any DT in the first two day it would mostly likely be another 3 Tech to rush the QB next to Crawford on passing downs

If we're just taking the best DL then I hope Jonathan Bullard falls to us in the 2nd round. He is an ideal "Marinelli-type" of DL who can play everywhere, although he'd be best as a 3-Tech. I actually think his ceiling is higher than Crawford's as a 3-Tech

you took the words out my mouth. If we go QB or Ramsey at 4 then take a defensive lineman like Bullard opposed to just saying ok defensive line was taken care of in free agency.

It moves, IMO, the interior line pick from the top three picks to starting at the 4th pick.
