I think BP is realizing his offense is potent I think we start getting more agressive considering conservative keeps biting us in the butt.

Defense:

We play the pass and give them the run.
Make them grind out long drives.
Oakland is prone to mistakes so forcing long drives gives D an advantage.
We have got to get more aggressive with the blitz.
Collins is hot and cold D needs to jump on him earlywith the blitz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not been impressed with Jordan at all. He looks tenative hitting the hole. I think we play conservative on Defense and blitz sometimes.

Seriously.......I want us to come and throwing. They certainly would not expect this from us. I think having an early lead in this game will be key. If we get down early, I don't like our chances to come from behind for the 3rd time this year.

You make some good points, but I don't know if blitzing is the best thing to do, considering Moss loves scoring on the boyz. And leaving him one on one would be insane.

Needs to be a balance between the two. Moss/Collins will kill you if they get too much time too.

Wouldn't running the ball and draining the clock be conservative?
I agree that we need to make the Raiders drive down field in 6-8 minutes or whatever, 'cause eventually they'll hold or false start or something to help kill the drive. But in sports teams don't like playing a team that gives them a taste of their own medicine. Why doesn't Pittsburgh play well against N.E.? 'Cause they are the same team. NE just does it a little better. On the other hand why does NE continuously beat Indy? Because, as you stated they make them "grind it out" and move the ball slowly, taking away the big strike. BUT, at the same time NE goes for the throat, they thow all over them and get a lead and then just sit on it. That's what we need to do. Get on them right away and then it should open things up for Julius. If anyone thinks we will win by pounding the ball up the middle they are mistaken. They've given up less rushing yards than we did this year. JMO.

You show Moss the respect by using double teams but the raiders are more than 1 player and we can't afford to pay so much attention to Moss that we allow others to beat us.

I agree, was it last year of the year before Moss caught two TDs and one of them we had three guys on him. Moss gets really hype when he plays us because we passed on him in the draft.

If all we do is blitz Moss will have 3 TDs easy.

I hope we beat Oak and beat them good. But this is not going to be easy at all. The way our secondary is playing, we could be in for a lonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg day.

Oakland has a pretty good TE as well, which tends to limit blitz effectiveness. I think we play Zimmer Ball this week.
