How to fix Defense (DT/NT)

I hate to say it but the cat is out of the bag and the entire NFL has the blueprint to cut apart this lousy defense.

I believe the main issue with this defense stems from lack of a strong DT/NT. Teams are doubling Collins ( run plays he gets pushed back -4 yards & in pass play he gets stone walled which frees up TEs& RBs to double & chip the edge rushers. So they now can effectively run or pass at will. After few plays in the drive DTs get even overwhelmed and they allow OL to reach 2nd level effectively eliminating the strength of this team.

Well how do you fix it? By getting a stout a DT/ NT that demands double team on every play. A guy that can hold line of the scrimmage with combo/ down blocks. This will force the Center, LG &RG to stay inside instead of pulling and reaching 2nd level. Dallas should trade for a NT similar to Star Louteleli.


Did I mention that Bills have a top 10 defense after he joined the team.

Old man Marnelli needs to be removed from the coaching staff. He is a cancer and is slowly killing this defense, promote Richards to DC.

Carolina had a bottom tier defense pre-2013, they drafted 2 stud DTs back to back and they never looked back at the defense being no worse that top 10 for 5 years straight.

Marinelli has noted on repeated occasions that DT is one of, if not the most important position within his scheme.

Understanding that, why we refuse to spend premium resources on the position is beyond me.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.....

The Good (have to dig deep for this one) Brandon Knight our back up right tackle played well again. Dak didn't throw any picks and the Cowboys actually got one.

The Bad (as hard as it was to "find the good" finding the bad will be easy) Another awful first half by the offense, too many penalties yet again, and another chip shot missed by Maher after making a couple of bombs!

The Ugly (heads up folks this is going to get messy) This is one of if not the worst coached teams in all of football. The Cowboys simply are not prepared to play week in week out. The Jets who were last in EVERYTHING offensively dominated the Cowboys which if you're like me you're totally embarrassed and pissed off! Now I said on Friday during my prediction I said that the Cowboys were playing for their season and Garrett was coaching for his job against the Jets now I'm interested to see if I'm right but as of right now Garrett is still somehow the head coach of the Cowboys and by yet another miracle they're still in first place in the division put come Sunday night you'll see a team that has quit and the Cowboys will end up with a top 10 pick in the draft.

Also look at how they line up. We continue to spreadout our linemen giving rb's large cutback lanes especially if our LB shoots the wrong gap or if the dt gets moved from trap blocks or zone blocking.

How to fix the defense:

-Decrease D-Law’s contract by 15 million
-Fire the entire defensive coaching staff
-Discipline your defense
-Teach then to turn their damn heads for interceptions and force fumbles
-Let then know their job is on the line if they don’t execute.

Boom. Problem solved . Too bad this likely won’t happen because our owner is inept, stupid, and stubborn.
