They can improve the run game by playing DET and CHI next. 2 of the worst 4 run D's in the league.

Everyone knows since Coop was here we run to many curl routes. He yelled it on the sidelines that they are gonna sit on it. He got with Dak and they ran a go and burned them. Lamb has caught them on a double move deep with Rush. It happens after you run the ball and play action. 12 personnel let’s you do so many things. I like the run play with Elliot and Pollard in the I-formation.

Play-action deep throw is the perfect compliment to the run game along with QB roll out and a deep crosser!

This totally ticks me off too!! I can't for the life me get why K. Moore is so stubborn with that stinking DELAY draw??

I'm no offensive guru but I know enough to know that even a bad player will blow up your play if you leave him unblocked. The reason the delay draw is such a staple of the offense is that we run so much out of shotgun. There are few options in the run game when you run out of shotgun. Delay draw, inside handoff left or right or that little sweep toss to the short side where the back just runs towards the sidelines and the QB slings him the ball that almost never works.
It's nigh impossible to run an effective toss sweep from shotgun because of how close the back is to the defense when he gets the ball. If you put him in the deep set he gets a much better view of the flow of the defense and can make cuts accordingly. That's true of almost any running play .. the deep set gives the back leverage, vision and momentum toward the line of scrimmage. It makes me wanna throw stuff at the TV when we refuse to use it.. Especially with Zeke.. When I watch other teams with good downhill runners the main thing I notice is that they run a lot less from shotgun than we do.

Check out this list:

Player Runs from Runs from Percentage
shotgun under center

Henry 14 90 13.5
Chubb 27 83 24.5
Mixon 49 55 46.7 % (YIKES!!!)
Zeke 27 67 28.7

Teams that have a bigtime downhill runner don't run him out of shotgun damn near 30% of the time like we do. Yes you do it with jitterbug types like Barkley and Taylor just as we should with Pollard.. But workhorse backs? Hell no!! Chubb's percentage actually surprised me.. Seems like they're doing it a lot more with him this year.. Last year it was 40 of 228 .. a percentage of 17.5. Which frankly is about where it should be. I assume they will come to their senses at some point and that percentage comes way down. I make no such assumption about Moore. And I have no explanation for what the hell Cincy is doing with Mixon.. It's like they think he's Barry Sanders... Just for grins I look at his slate from last year.. It was 79 of 292 carries out of shotgun .. 27%.. Still high but well short of what they're doing this year. No idea why but it might explain why he's having the worst season of his career.

Yes please. Do all that. Lol. I don’t have a problem with a deep pass when they have the matchup and our WR has a step. But those deep curls or outs are obvious. It’s like that’s all Moore likes. Like getting him to call a off tackle or sweep run. He did sweep or toss a few weeks ago and almost had a heart attack. Was a big gain also..

The middle zone was wide open all night yet we either didn't take advantage of it or couldn't take advantage of it. Our OC is stuck on stupid most of the time.

Remember how the running game started clicking towards the end of the first half. Imagine that instead of the stupid INT on 1st down after the Eagles scored, you had run the ball and gotten it going at 7-0 instead of 17-0. Imagine Zeke and Pollard finding their groove by the 10-12 minute mark of the 2nd quarter? How different does this game look if the running game we saw in the 3rd quarter showed up in the 2nd? Moore refused to let the runners get any kind of rhythm early on. One he did, they went off.. but by then the damage was done..
Dude, its like you're reading my mind. I feel exactly the same way. I want to punch Moore in his very punchable face every time we run that horrible play. That and our designated 4 yd loss smoke screen to CeeDee. I truly believe if we had Andy Reid as our head coach , and made ZERO personnel moves, we go 14-3, 15-2 the next 3-4 years.

I do believe better coaching is absolutely what this teams needs. Especially on offense. But Jerry has gotten seduced by the gaudy offensive stats and rankings. We should not be trying to be the #1 offense in the league.. We should be trying to be the BEST offense in the league.. People not in the know will think they're one in the same.. They're not.. The #1 offense is the one that puts up the prettiest stats.. The BEST offense is the one that can do whatever it needs to do whenever it needs to do it.. regardless of opponent. Run when you need to run it.. pass when you need to pass it.. Strike quickly or drive the ball methodically.. Whatever it takes to win. To hell with what stats nerds say..

Turpin deserves actual wide receiver playing time with his performance on ST. He should be used in the slot and as a deep threat to counter blitzes and keep the running game strong especially in 2 TEs set.

He can be a poor man’s version of T.Y. Hilton.

Turpin deserves snaps at WR because of his returns despite the fact he’s not good at running routes. Thanks Forrest!
