Indulge me for a moment, please. I know we all have one foot out the door, in the grave, or however you want to put it. But in three weeks, things could look much better, to the point where cautious optimism might creep in.

If we beat the NYG twice, the E-girls drop 2 of 3 against TEN, IND and WAS (only IND is a home game), and the Skins drop one against CHI, DET, or PHI (only PHI is a home game), and we're all at 4 losses. IF we win the next three games, of course. If all this takes place, the division would be wide open.

Last games of the season? WAS vs. NYG and DAL vs. PHI. Whoever wins the division, it will very likely come down to the last game of the year... If we win our next three, we're right back in it.

Good thing I didn't trim my fngernails, 'cause I'm hangin' on by 'em! Now back to your regularly-scheduled dream!

More playoff talk, lol.

We said the same stuff before the Titans game. Said the same stuff before the Vikings game. And you know what? If we lose to the Giants, the same talk will be said before the Jags game. Until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoff hunt we will keep getting playoff scenarios. Cowboys just need to win this game this week. Worry about next week, next week.

I think if they go 12 - 4 they'll make the play offs:bow:

If the rest of the league quits.......Dallas is IN!!!!

The organization can't look at it like that. We have to be worried about what WE can do. Not what we need other teams to do. Right now we should be in a one game at a time realistically, because in reality we can only afford to lose a couple of more games this year if we want to go to the playoffs.

any chance of going 12-4 goes out the window on Monday :bang2:

the most important factor in our record and schedule is that we still have seven division games left

not only can we help ourselves improve our record but we have direct impact on our competitions records.

We're two games behind, and everyone but the Commanders we can bring down 2 games.

...beat NY twice?...i don't know about twice but they better beat them at least once over the next month or else...the above scenario is possible, especially TEN vs. PHI, where Tennessee has an incredible record against the NFC (11-0)...Indy should get them as well if they can control the Philly running game and not turn the ball over...ditto on Washington as i think they will ultimately be too limited on offense to win the division...

...the division foe that Dallas must beat for division supremacy invades Cowboys Stadium monday night...once buried at 1-2 they are now seen as the class of the division...as such they have a chance to bury the Cowboys this year because ain't no coming back from being swept...

...the only reasonable way they get to 10-6 is by sweeping the Giants or getting either the Saints or the Colts...if they are somehow able to fashion 5-5 after beating the Lions then they can lose Saints and Colts if they run the table in the NFC East plus Arizona...even then they'd sweat it out at 9-7...but it might be that 8-8 sneaks in this year considering all NFC teams have two or more losses with key matchups still looming...

...so 4-1 over the next five and 4-2 over the final six, for 9-7 and chance to be a player in January...

right now i'd say the playoffs look like this:

NO div
MIN div
GB [w/c]
ARZ or Seattle div
NYG div
ATL [w/c]

GB matchup looks huge in a few weeks because i think that Atlanta is healthier and will win more games than GB, who are a walking mash unit right now...i think Chicago has bigger offensive line problems than even the Cowboys right now...Seattle? who knows but does it really matter?

...for Dallas, the next five weeks will tell all but lose twice to NY and its all over...

There are 7 divisional games left? While that would be nice (assuming we won them all), unfortunately only 5 remain.

The Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

2 games back with 11 to play is nothing.

It just comes down to what you think the Cowboys are/will be.

I promise, no I guarantee you all this..........

if the Cowboys are what we thought they were, we will win the division and still have a legit shot at a bye going into the last two weeks.

The 1-4 start hasn't blown anything because there are no NFC teams with a good shot at 12 wins.

We're so focused on the Cowboys, we've lost focus on what everyone else is doing.

I predict the #1 and #2 seeds in the NFC will be 11 win teams. And it's not completely out of the question that #2 seed could be a 10 win team. Especially if it's Dallas or Min.

If we just win more games that should be enough.

Yea, almost every playoff scenario I can come up with requires us to actually win some games. Counting on everybody else to lose can only go so far, we have to actually put some Ws up ourselves.

The question is, can we???

Like others have said, we lose to the G-spots at home and thats game over. We would be winless in the division and 4 out or our 5 losses would be in conference. That basically kills any tie breakier scenario.

The Giants can basically drive a stake through our hearts Monday night.
