the fascination with some of you people who want to move Henry to free safety is mind boggling

I think it's unfair to paint him as whiny. And the fact that he is not a leader is irrelvant because he'll be a 2-down (i.e. part-time) player if he stays. He actually finally played well in his limited role, until he got hurt, and I cna't fualt any player fro that either when it's not due to lack of conditioning (in his case it was not).

I thought that he did OK on special teams - but he really didn't do anything special on defense. In the 2+ games he had one run stop for 5 yards and 3 receiver tackles - giving up 12+ yards per reception and 2 first downs. It's a no-brainer to cut him, maybe he'd play harder for another team, but I doubt it, he's already admitted that he doesn't need to go out and risk his body anymore, and for a slow not particularly intuitive player like him, there's not much else to offer.

I agree though that Henry is an interesting dilema given his deterioration over the past 2 seasons.

Anyone who wants Hamlin as SS is extremely high on something. Henry can't cover anyone at all. I hope Henry is released and Roy takes a pay cut. Does anyone think Roys still got some trade value? I'd happily take a 4th for him. Getting rid of Henry and Roy is 5 million right there. Draft Sean Smith and use some of the money on a Jabari Greer(CB)

I have two issues, at this point, with the move of Henry.

#1) I am not in favor of Hamlin at SS cause I don't think he's tough enough, or willing enough, to play the run defense he needs to in that position.

#2) Safety is a much more physical position than corner and Henry has proven, more than once, to be made of glass at the CB position so I'd have serious doubts about his ability to stay healthy, even at the FS position.

It would be a dumb move if they did it. Henry is making way too much for what he's actually worth. We save 3.2 million by getting rid of our 4th CB..thats a no brainer. That money needs to be allocated in many areas
