I was so mad at the defense that I quit watching the game at some point in the first half. Then, checking the boxscore, I saw the "Cowboys Zone Favorite Wilson" finally got his snaps. I am pretty sure he can't have played as bad as Thompson, but out of wonder I want to learn how he did. Can he be a short them solution to the abysmal safety position?

I am not good at evaluating safety, but I think no heath is a big negative. We miss him on defense and special teams.

He couldn't tackle or cover otherwise he was fine. So basically just as bad as Thompson.

Wilson led the team in tackles. However he did whiff on a couple of tackles that did look bad. I’d hate to make an excuse for him but it was probably the first time he has really had a chance to tackle in a game. I doubt they go full speed tackling in practice. I didn’t see him get burned in coverage at all but Cleveland didn’t really try to throw the ball down field after he came in. He did not look lost he was around the ball quite a bit and the stats show that. They need to stick with Donovan Wilson or sign ET. I think we know what we have in Thompson and he’s not a starter.
