To be honest, I think the biggest impact we can make is getting more turnovers from the defense. I heard an interesting stat about the New England Patriots the other day. While most of us agree that their defensive ranking is not impressive, but what is impressive is the number of TO's they have generated over the past 3 years. I believe that they are the best team over this stretch. Last year they got 41, and over the 3 years have averaged 38.
I can tell you that if they don't come close to that number this year, they aren't making the playoffs because I wouldn't expect their offense to be as productive with all of their departures.
How does this relate to Dallas. If we can get some of that TO mojo from Kiffen and Marinelli, I think that we have a good shot. I'm hoping we get 30-35 TO's next year, but that is a lot to ask because we only got 16. If we get the target number and maintain our offensive production, we have a good shot.....
