Don't know any of them --never watch college ball or care where they came from..Just want to know if they can play now.

Question back for Hos --who was the real cowboy and what events did he compete in

Walt Garrison. I know steer wrestling for sure, because a knee injury in that ended his career. That answers one of the questions below. You say events in the plural, so I will guess on the other one and say calf roping.

Little Puddin', given to him by Don Meredith. But he was to know that Puddin' meant something else. A synonym for cat and a pejorative indicating he was a sissy.

The only one's I didn't know where Johnson and Preston. Too much time to study teh other guys after the draft and before training camp. The other guys came in during camp and didn't study them as close I guess.

Steer wrestling was his main event --He rodeo professionally as much as he played football. Tore up his knee at the college rodeo finals on an exhibition run.
Second event was roping(he said he was never any good at it) and when he was younger rode rough stock. Puddin was his nickname --Who give it to him includes a list of Meredith-Lily-Dave Edwards --If you ask Walt he says he got it because he was so smooth ---and then there is the cat reference
Very good anaswers from an old roper:starspin (course I would not expect any less from a heeler;) )

We ropers are the cream of the rodeo crop. Especially heelers.

Without us headers, you heelers wouldnt get a chance to throw your rope... geez... But yes us ropers are the cream of the crop.... I rode bulls when I was younger and decided I could get more play and money roping... Sure is more expensive though....

Just wanted to see if I could do it. Not really fair though because I'm a huge Draft Nerd. The sad thing is I think I could have done it without the list of college teams. I need to get a life.
