Impssible unless the Lions Packers game ends in a tie but first round bye sounds good

This team does not have a home field advantage.

Not true, I think.

The only unlikely thing we have to have happen is for the Seahawks to lose to the Rams in week 17.

If they win tonight, which they are heavily favored, that would put the Seahawks at 11-5, locked into that 3 seed.

If the Packers beat the Lions, I believe the Cowboys win in tie breakers, because of common opponents. Seahawks and Saints. Boom! right?

Packers and Lions both have tiebreakers on Cowboys.

Seattle win tonight, Seattle loss next week, GB victory next week, Cowboy victory next week and we are the #1 seed or no?

No....this has been discussed over and over. We lose all tiebreakers with three teams due to our conference record.

Cowboys win next week, finish 12-4.

Seahawks win this week, lose next week, finish 11-5.

Cardinals lose this week, lose next week, finish 11-5.

Winner of Packers/Lions goes 12-4, loser goes 11-5.

Dallas would then be the #2 seed.

-

Or a simplified version - just root for the Seahawks this week. Root for the Rams and 49ers next week.

Other than if we and Seattle finish 11-5 and as division champs... we would win that tiebreaker because of head to head

Yep, and it doesn't matter at all what we do next week

This is possible. We can't get the number one seed unless some weird thing happen.

I think the only possible way for that to happen would be if the Packers and Lions ended in a tie, plus a ton of other things. But even then, I'm not entirely sure.
