Guyton played best as a tackle. Smith can be All-Pro at either. Just switch em. What's so hard about it

I don’t know why Dallas values OG’s so much? Tyler looks more influential when he’s playing LT. He plays with a physicality and gets into space better than anyone else. I think the interior of Beebe, Hoffman, Bass would be more than adequate in 2025. I’d move Tyler to LT where he has looked excellent. You would save 11 million against the cap if you release Steele. Have Guyton/Waletzko compete for RT. Richard’s is your backup LT/C.
You do not move ALL PRO players to another position. ITs been done temporarily due to season needs; but never permanently

No I do not believe Smith is an ALL PRO at tackle
Exactly. Tyler Smith is an all-pro guard. He can be just a "pretty good" left tackle. Dallas can play Smith outside if an injury forces it during a game; otherwise they'd be wasting his talents.

I’m a big Richards fan but it’s dangerous to go into the season with him penciled in as a starter. If they wanted to have a real competition between him and Guyton I’m all for it. Wish we got the opportunity to see him play more this season.

I doubt Steele gets cut at this point, he finished the year pretty strong.
I think we can figure out the position among Richards, Guyton and Smith. If Richards shows he's up for it, we could move Guyton to right tackle and trade Steele. Because of Smith's ability to move to left tackle if needed, I'd be OK with trading Steele in the offseason depending on what we'd get. Frankly, I'd prefer it to be player for player because that's the only way Dallas acquires "quality" NFL players on other teams.

I voted against it, and I like Richards. However, Cowboys have the 12th pick at worst, so they have the opportunity to select the best or 2nd best LT in the draft. They can still get rid of Steele if they want too, and have a camp battle involving Guyton and Richards at RT.

I just can't punt on LT for Richards.
No more busts at tackle, dont need another Guyton, draft someone that can make an immediate impact, no developmental guys that have "potential"

For me it comes down to who is your better LT. On the field Im not as discouraged as some with Guyton. It was always going to be that way. I think there are other questions that we aren't privy to the awnsers though (benching).
Trade or cut Guyton now, he's a bust, terrible pick just like Mazi

I like Richards he's played well with the opportunities given. However, I can't say we've seen enough to think he can be a regular starting LT in the league, but there is potential there. Guyton has potential too, I just can't figure out if it's better to continue to develop him as an LT or slide him over to RT.

Guytons only potential is that he's a bust, trade or cut him now, he's a penalty machine

I think we have a guy on the roster that can be a star at the most important position on the line in Tyler. Find another guard and move smith to LT. He is the best lineman and its way more important than LG.
