Ecstatic. There has been smoke about him the past couple weeks. How would you feel
That’s what I’m excited about.Golden isn't that yet. He could get there. His production this year is almost double what he did his first two years at Houston. I think he should have played his senior year. No need for him to do that if he goes top 15 in this draft, but it would of helped with my concerns if he improved again.
It won't be a bad pick if he continues to ascend.
Absolutely! If you watch film, you can see how much Ewers held him back.
How tall is Tyreek Hill?I'd hate it and I like the player fine. Golden isn't and has never been 1st round, much less 12th overall type talent. He was firmly rooted in the 2nd until he ran the 40. It was a great 40 time but shouldn't have propelled a 5"11 190 pound receiver with limited production to the top of the board. If we weren't a team that is absolutely ravenous for not only a WR, but a fast WR this conversation wouldn't be happening and still shouldn't.
5"10 191 and he was taken in the 5th round. I like Golden, I don't like him at 12.How tall is Tyreek Hill?
What does he weigh?
And if that draft happened now, knowing what we know, what round do you think Hill would be drafted in?5"10 191 and he was taken in the 5th round.
That’s fair. We’re all entitled to our opinions.I like Golden, I don't like him at 12.
Watching Golden’s highlights, he was routinely having to adjust to poorly thrown balls or blowing by defenders and having to wait for Ewers to get him the football.I hate his lack of production.
Physically, I don't even think his standout trait is his speed (he looks MUCH more like a low 4.4 guy than a 4.2 guy), it's his acceleration. He can explode off the line and put a corner on his heels, then smash on the brakes and separate. There's tons of fast guys in the NFL, but Golden stands out because of how effortlessly he can change speed. He's got that twitch.
My question is, if he's this fast, twitchy separator, why isn't he getting the football? His yards per route stats are miserable. I know Quinn Ewers isn't a good NFL QB prospect at all, but in the grand scheme of power 5 college QBs, he's above average. Golden was on a really talented offense and facing little attention from defenses. He had some huge games down the stretch where he showed his potential, but you are betting a very high draft pick on a very small stretch of games.
90% chance he’s the pick. He’s everything the Cowboys thought they were getting when they signed Gallup to that big deal. #2 receiver is the biggest hole on offense.
I disagree that Tet is the ‘better player’.There should be a third option 'OK'. Golden is definitely a good prospect with great speed, quickness, route running and intangibles, but has a production red flag. He could just be coming into his own, or he could be John Ross.
If we take him, fine. It's a bet on his talent. If we take him over a better player in Tet, I'm not too happy.
Drafting is as much about projection as it is evaluating the player present day. The Cowboys are likely projecting what Golden could be with a better QB throwing him the ball.I'd hate it and I like the player fine.
Or even early 20's. Last year Xavier Worthy was drafted by the Chiefs at the end of the first round, and I think he is a more talented WR than Golden. At pick 12, I would take one of the top CBs over him.Like him better at 17.
He has objectively been a better football player than Golden for the past two years. Better prospect? That's debatableI disagree that Tet is the ‘better player’.
