How would you feel about trading for O.J. Howard?

This trade is really not possible
But the idea I tend to agree with
With Dak I think the TE position is important, maybe extremely important
It’s obvious Dak is slow to decide who to throw too and is adverse to risk. The te pass is a safe pass, easy to quickly read
I would have tended to add a good TE over a WR
Not likely to get Howard but there are a couple teams already having fire sales so the position might become availible, or needs to be addressed this off season
Swain is a decent player but we need a playmaker at TE
I agree we still need a TE a Real TE yes Swaim is playing good hopefully his MRI comes out ok on his knee and he wont miss any time Jesse James, Clay heck even Cook would be an upgrade we need one who can block and catch

I dont think TB will move either TE without a high pick but there ae other TE we could go after that wont cost us a high pick that can block and catch a few passes

FWIW it has been speculated that Howard could be dealt for a 3rd. Don't kill the messenger, I'm just passing the info through.

He’s a young, developing player with above average blocking skills. Howard hasn’t really panned out in Tampa so maybe they’d be interested in a 4th or 5th. We could then cut Deonte Thompson and get that pick back.

If not Howard, what tight end would you want to trade for?
I don't understand this post. Howard has taken over as the starter over Brate has been all but phased completely out of the offensive gameplan.

He has 20 catches for 351 yards so far and is developing into a fairly good blocker. I'm guessing they're more than happy with his development. They ain't trading a 4th for him after spending a 1st less than a season and a half ago!

I would do it. One reason I have come around on the Amari Cooper trade is that he is 24. People want to compare the trade to Roy Williams and Joey Galloway, but let's remember that they were 27 and 29 years old, respectively. If the idea is you are trading draft picks for other young players who are proven, then going for Howard makes a ton of sense.

OJ isn't going anywhere. Fitzpatrick knew how to get him the ball as well as DeSean Jackson. Jameis not so much. They have a two-headed monster at tight end with Brate and Howard.

I’d do it in a heart beat, but the bucs won’t. He’s 22 and improving. Why use a 1st on him just to trade him the next year? If you live on from Winston, you’ll have him to throw to.
