Setting aside the potential cap ramifications of signing Zeke to a big contract for a minute,
if both are available, how would you use Zeke and Pollard if you were Dallas?
Personally, I could see some 2 RB sets maybe 10-15 plays a game.
Mix it up. Confuse the defense.
Reduce Zeke's carry total from 304 to around 250, giving Pollard around 100 carries over the course of the season, since he'd also be eating into the 45 or so snaps Rod Smith got last year, too.
Feature both in the passing game.
Thoughts?

Pollard needs to have inside runs, outside runs, and a variety of catches. Should slso get both backs on the field simultaneously. But weve never had big issues moving 20-20. If pollard wants touches he needs to show he can score TD's.

Pollard was often on the field with another RB in college. He was often the lead blocker for RB Darrell Henderson. More often on outside runs (i.e. open field blocking).

Polland also ran the ball, caught passes both starting from a RB alignment and from a WR alignment. He can run reverses, jet sweeps, etc. He can even play Wildcat QB.

I would like to see Pollard as a 3 down back spelled by Morris and Zeke as a former Cowboy now in Cincinnati with Dallas having an extra first rounder in 2020.

Perhaps this why Garrett is impressed with maturity for the position .....

Seemed they liked to line him up at slot and get the ball in his hands quickly and in open space often.

He can make things happen off a screen pass like #21 does.

Alvin Kamara.. That is how Pollard needs to be used.

Jet sweeps, line him up at receiver, screens, and just let him handle the rock when Zeke needs a break.

Pollard could be electric in this league.

Give Pollard Zeke’s 18-20 carries a game and use Zeke for a 1 and a 2.

Along with Pollard coming in when Elliott is getting a breather, I’d like to see some sets with both guys in the backfield.

One (or both) could motion out to receiver. One could lead block for the other (Elliott would be very good as a lead blocker). There is a lot that a creative mind like Moore could do with them.

This team has always had dreams of using 2 HBs in the backfield. Always had dreams of the 2 TE set too. Dreams....

Pollard can keep Zeke rested and let Zeke focus on the redzone...

If Pollard is a threat in the redzone he does not have to rack up TDs if things are opening up for other players to score TDs.

Coaching staff needs to stick to the run inside the 20.

Great point about Zeke's lead blocking skills. Just like how he was the lead blocker on one of Dak's QB draws against Seattle in the Wild Card game.

Don’t overestimate Pollard his rookie season. Zeke/AP/Dickerson were aberrations. Let Pollard develop naturally. Get every carry you possibly can out of Zeke, especially if you break records with his deal.

Reminded me of Dorsett and Springs when I read this post.
