Some great movies out there, but has a terrible or confusing ending. Like " Lord of the Rings" with 25 alternate different endings ,just muddied it up for me. So here's your chance of how a movie should have ended in your opinion.

For me: TWISTER
I hated the whole Helen Hunt crew. Most irritating, annoying, sniveling bunch of losers. My ending, that tornado jumps over Bill Paxton & Helen Hunt and goes right for her crew and obliterating them!!! NOW THAT'S THE ENDING I WANTED?

So what movie would you change the ending.

Independence Day - Once the bomb went off, everything was too sudden. I would have liked to see some of the aliens survive the crashes and had to resort to ground troop warfare.

Aliens

I am one of those people you usually see stay seated when the ending credits start to roll. It has always bothered me hearing the briefly soft sound of an egg hatching just before the movie credits actually ends.

Ripley goes through Hell x infinity and puts Newt and herself into suspended animation for what???

Alternate ending: A door malfunctions. Ripley gets caught OUTSIDE the room with Newt and the newly hatched alien.

As Ripley is desperately trying to get the door open, Newt overcomes her fear. She stands in front of a mini disposal chute. The alien dives straight at her as she is turning her head but she sees it in the corner of her eye for a split second. Newt dives out of the way. The alien lands inside the chute. She slams her little hand on the switch. Bye bye alien.

Yeah. Basically, Ripley did the same thing earlier but gives Newt--who survived ALL THAT TIME before the cavalry showed up--her props.

Ripley and Newt go to sleep safely. The end.

PS The added bonus is Alien 3 gets re-written into something that makes way more sense.

Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher. There are two endings: 1. He goes back in time and tells off the girl the first time he meets her, ending the cycle. 2. He strangles himself in the womb, breaking the cycle. #2 was too dark, so they cut it out, but I preferred it.

I didn't watch that one. Should I? I fear it is like Outcast and From - slow and never going anywhere. Or stupid, like Manifest.
It started out strong and then sort of went downhill slowly as seasons progressed. Still it was very good up until the last season, then it went off the rails. There's a reason "Pulling a Lost" is a bad term among studio execs.

I was just reading something about the way it ended. It was critical. But I think with some of these more successful series the writers don't know how to end them so the ending they come up with disappoints. Maybe the writers should think of the ending first and then write the series backwards to the beginning?
