He was our 3rd round pick this year, how has he looked? I haven't really seen much of him and didn't pay close attention to the team during training camp this year so was hoping someone could catch me (and others lacking knowledge on Crawford) up.

From what I've heard in here, the several snaps he has been a part of, he's been disruptive and getting a good push. Great upside.

He seems to get better each week lets see if the trend continues monday.......oh and each game he gets more and more snaps, another good sign IMO

Actually he looked quite good against supposed all world guard Carl Nicks...starting to look like another in the long line of later round finds that we have had on the DL.

I don't think you can call the 3rd round a later round.

Oh ok, so is it safe to say we spent a high pick on the lines......interesting, I usually consider anything after the 2nd round a later round pick cause they aren't expected to start anytime soon.

Ok maybe not high pick.....where is my thesaurus...

He looks pretty good and significantly better than Hatcher did at his age. It'd be great if Hatcher were 26 years old and playing this well too, as we'd have a young talented D-line.

But keep in mind, this guy is 22 years old. If he continues improving, he could be a dominant force. Looks like a great pick at this point.

Middle rounds.

As for starting, the Cowboys have told us a couple of times over recent years that they are looking for future starting players in round 3. I don't see why they wouldn't. There are always a lot of good football players still available at that point.

Yes, future starting is different from immediate starters though, which was what I was talking about. Harder to find an immediate starter in the 3rd, but given a lil time they can turn into a Witten or Murray....of course they can also turn into Marten or Brewster also.

We should be looking for future starters in every round of the draft.

I've never been part of the "move Ratliff to DE" movement, but now with the possibility of Carr moving to FS, I'd want playmakers at every position. That wasn't really related at all to this thread. I just wanted to say it. Anyway, go Crawford!

He looks pretty good. He is a little small to play DE in a 3-4 full time, but in passing situations, he has been doing surprisingly well.

6'4" 290+ lbs isn't too small for a 3-4 DE. He looks plenty big on the field and has good strength.

The dude is huge and solid, not fat.........and will get stronger so IDK what this guy is talking about.

Edit: and wasn't he know for his strength coming out last year?

Must be Bill Parcells in disguise wanting a 300 lb. sack of potatoes at DE.

I saw the guy at the grocery store in Boise last year and couldn't get over how huge he was. Not fat at all, just a scary-big dude.

He was 275 coming out of college and is closer to 280 and is built more like a 4-3 DE.

In order to play full time, he is going to have to get bigger or he will get worn down. Like I said, he has been playing better than anyone expected, but he isn't a full time player at this point. That isn't really a knock on him, just the truth. Ryan will find a way to use him, regardless.
