I can see Newman moving to FS when he loses a step but he is our best coverage guy.

I'd like to see Anthony Henry moved to Ex-Cowboy.

Eh, maybe in a year or two. Jenkins is not ready to start yet, Scandrick might be, we'll have to see how he performs in camp.

TNew is a true CB not a FS. Asking him to come up and support stopping the run isn't something I really want to see.

Hell no... Jerry Jones just paid Newman like a top 5 CB, he better be starting at LCB when the 2009 season opens.

I'll say this though, the starting RCB should be either Scandrick or Jenkins.

LOL seeing Newman "try" to help tackle would be hilarious.

Great CB, but I highly doubt he'd be able to help in run support.

It is a very good idea, we get all of our best secondary guys on the field starting. FS- covers everything deep, the QB of the Secondary. The SS is the run stopper.

Newman has speed and he would have the range, to break up and pick off deep passes.
Those 2 youngsters can cover, now they have a year under them, and they excel in man coverage.

Newman is a good CB, but he is always getting hurt. It is an excellent idea.

Dude you obviously don't know anything about NFL football... Newman was PAID like a elite cover CB, you do not want your best CB playing out of position.

No thanks, I'd rather not see my FS do nothing but make half-hearted attempts at ankle tackles...

Dude, if I let you tell it, but I do know that high priced CB's have made the switch to FS before.

All this tackling stuff, at FS, do you see what the best FS in the NFL, do? Reed, he is not doing a whole lot of tackling, he makes sure no one beats them deep, most of the time he is picking those passes.

why wait till he loses a step, then he may not be able to get to where the ball is.

anyway it was just a vision of what the secondary could be, our coaching staff IQ is not very high, so they would not think of that anyway.

Newman isn't going to be stepping into the box to make tackles... knowing what I know here is what I'd think you'll see.

3-4
LCB Newman
RCB Jenkins maybe Scandrick
FS Henry - finally makes the move
SS Hamlin - having henry allows Hamlin to move to his more natural position

Nickle
LCB Newman
RCB Jenkins
NCB Scandrick (even if Scandricks beats out Jenkins)
FS Henry
SS Hamlin

Dime you just add Ball

Davis makes the team for special teams, but they try to replace Brown and probably Watkins.

Jenkins and Scandrick have to be thrown in they played enough and they have the talent.

I'd expect to see 2 to 3 mid to late draft picks spent here

Everyone keeps saying move Henry to FS. If we do I hope we draft another FS because by the 2nd or 3rd game Henry will be hurt, as usual, and we'll be stuck without a FS again.

Newman can't play FS at his size. He'd get killed. To even think it's possible is silly.

I think they have to draft for that position(for depth and the future)... Henry will get hobbled, but at least at FS he rarely has to lineup against speed WR on the outside.

He's a ball hawk and I think having him facing the QB could lead to some interceptions.
