Romo said how Linehan looked at how the Chiefs attacked the Jags and got a lot of ideas from that.

The good news is he can do the same this week and see how Wash defended Cam which will give a gauge on best ways to attack them.

Cam had 275 yards passing and 9 carries for 43 yards today. Will be interested to see if there were gaping holes that will be obvious to attack or if it will be using what they did to slow cam as a misdirection.

Am I the only one who finds it sad (pathetic) that after all his years in the league, our OC can't figure out how to dissect a defense on his own?

We used to set the offensive pace (Landry, Norv) and now, we just follow everyone else's lead.

*sigh*

I don't see this coaching staff doing that yet, Linehan doesn't get a reprieve for about a season's worth of bad work just for today.
While they aren’t necessarily in the top echelon, let’s not pretend these coaches aren’t professionals who bust their hump breaking down film 20 hours a day.

They absolutely will key in on the similarities. I swear some of you think they hang out on the couch all week long and just show up on Sunday

Our offense had a historically inept streak for the second half of 2017 and a good chunk of the start of 2018. I get we lack talent at WR and TE but I blame the coaching staff for that.

It's ignorance

all teams are given an opponents last 3 games to study to come up with a scheme. could it be this was the first time cowboy coaches actually looked at them? pretty good game plan imo. both sides of the ball.

I guess it is an advantage that our OC might have learned to watch tape and make a game plan for his opponent.

Isn't that the job of the OC? I mean, he just started realizing this last week? WHAT IN THE WORLD.

I think its normal to do. You watch film and see what teams struggle at...then you try and do the same thing they did.

Of course It’s not new but it’s rare that the team that just played your opponent is one of just 2 other teams in the league that run your style of offense.

Our offense is so niche and unique that Carolina and Seattle are about the only other teams that attack the same way we do.
