I'm among the more jaded Cowboy fans, but nonetheless am really pumped for the Eagles' game, which may prove to be pivotal, not only for our franchise but also for our opponent. Regardless of what one may think about the Eagles' current trend of play, it will be huge if the Cowboys walk out of Philly with a W. On the hand, there can be little if any silver lining for the team if they lose.

Always great to beat Philly or Washington, regardless of our circumstances. :D

If we lose the game to the hobbled Eagles however, the season will be approaching statistical improbability and the heat will rise even further @ Valley Ranch.

Exactly. Furthermore, if we win, it could spell doom for both Reid and Vick. Lots at stake here...

I think Reid is already done. He and his team looks like Wade and the Boys a couple of years back.

I still see the Eagles winning the game.

Wow..

What's this?

Another HUGE game. ? :laugh2:

Rinse . Repeat. Rinse. Repeat.

These next three weeks are crucial to our season. Not just what our team can control by winning but what the giants do as well. This weekend is the most critical of the next three weeks, if we can beat the eagles and the bengals can beat the giants it sets up VERY well for us (to get into the division lead). If that happens this weekend, we will be 4-5 and the giants will be 6-4. Then the giants are on a bye, and we play, and SHOULD beat, the browns. So that would make us 5-5 and the giants still 6-4. Then off the bye the giants play the packers, which I believe will be an easy packers victory, revenge from last year, giants secondary is bad etc and we play the skins on thanksgiving, also a very winnable game for us. This will make us 6-5, the giants 6-5, and us in the division lead with us being 3-1 in the division and the giants being 2-2 in the division. I'm not delusional, I know we have been playing terribly, but this is not a stretch at all in my mind. The biggest stretch in this post IMO is the bengals beating the giants this weekend (eli will probably man handle tnew) but that is probably the most crucial game out of all of them, the bengals must defeat the giants this weekend.

Like the Dallas is to the Giants, the Eagles are a matchup nightmare for Dallas.

Could be a long day.

Hilarious isn't it?

It would be nice to beat the Eagles to put even more pressure on Reid and Vick, absolutely. I also loathe the Eagles, so beating them is a plus just because of that as well.

That's as far as it goes with this team and this season. Folks, this team is going nowhere and the sooner you come to terms with that the better. Mathematically alive, wildcard, the division.....lol it's over.

Stop doing this to yourselves.

good points

as you say... doable, but will we?

I honestly believe WE will win the next 3, but again the crucial game is the bengals beating the giants, we can't control that, but we need it to happen.

Why would you want them gone from Philly? They have been doing a great job for what? 14 years falling short? Another coach, especially Sean Payton I feel would have a lot of success in Philly. I'd like Reid and Vick to stay.

Whatever mod merged these threads did a terrible job. These weren't even about the same thing, they were pretty differing posts.

I didn't say I wanted them gone; I just suggested that a loss could be pivotal foe them as well and thus the stakes are ratcheted up even more.

Why is your crystal ball more accurate than anyone else's?

Why are the Eagles a matchup nightmare now? We've got CBs who can cover and ILBs with speed to the outside and a decent pass rush. We pass block relatively effectively and their Dline has underperformed this year. I don't see where they have a matchup advantage over us anyplace anymore, do they?

Why does it matter which two of the next 8 the Giants drop?

You may use a crystal ball. That's probably why people like you fail to ever realize what the reality with this football team is.

Instead of a crystal ball, I will rely on years of consistent failure by this team, particularly the last 5 years with this bunch.

But go ahead and get your hopes up.

Dude, all I said was that the game is huge; I'm am not predicting a victory. I certainly think that the game needs to be played regardless of whether some fans feel we have to lose.

Thanks for giving us the heads-up. Nothing worse than hoping your team can win a winnable game in the middle of the NFL season!
