I just spoke to someone with in depth knowledge of the current speculation that Da'Quan Bowers and his agent have down played the significance of his injury.

I was told, as is the norm all teams were given access to MRI results on his knee at the Combine and based on that information alone 8 team have medically red flagged Bowers, in essence, removing him from their draft board.

In addition I'm told several other teams have requested additional information so they can look at the situation closer with their own team doctors.

This latest information coupled with his inability to work out and rising concern among 3-4 teams about his ability to play with in the scheme could very well cause a draft day slide of epic scale.

This news can't be good for us no matter how you look at it.

Your so predictable.

I promise you there is not a chance in hell you can provide me with proof that any team medically red flagged, him and removed him from their draft board prior to you reading this.

What you could of said was that "there was obvious concern about his injury, that's not news" and that's assuming you you insist on being rude.

I did not know he was medically red flagged, you did not know it, I have not scene a media piece about it.

Good grief, would it of killed you to admit there was something you might not have known.

Thanks SoDog. Your inside info is much appreciated.

Yeah the injury was obviously a concern but I had no idea it was so bad that it would cause teams to remove him from their draft boards.

He individual pre-draft team evaluations should be interesting.

So what extent is the injury then? I read about teams being scared of his slow recovery, but if teams are pulling him off their board then does that mean the actual injury itself is worse than reported?

For his part, Bowers is now saying his knee is 100%, if it isn't, then he's an outright liar.

It was reported just the other day on NFLN that one physician at the combine wouldn't medically clear Bowers because of his knee.

not the same, he was a physician employed by the insurance company that covers the NFL and who's sole job is to prevent any legal liability in case of injury. Let is also be noted that Bowers had no intention of working out at the Combine, this was just convenient for him and his agent.

These are team doctors who have red flagged a player which has caused the team they work for to remove him from their draft boards.

Just give me a link that he was removed from any teams draft board.

I'm not asking for much, I'm not even asking for proof he was injured, we all know that.

Just give me a link to any site that states any NFL team medically red flagged him and removed him from their draft board and I'll gladly say I was a day late and a dollar short.

Your denying him being removed from a teams draft board as big news?

this says that people were questioning his injury already and the agent is disputing it. So it basically saying teams were questioning his health.

Ok, lets simplify this.

I want a link stating he was REMOVED FROM A TEAMS DRAFT BOARD.

We know he was hurt. We know his health was being questioned. That's a big leap to being removed from a teams draft board

Good god!

And NFL network has said the same thing. As realtick has said. Lol its amazing how people with "inside" sources all seem to get mad when people already know about their info. i wont say that i knew teams taken him off their draft board. But when these medical concerns came into light. Its common sense. Anybody could've seen that happening. I didnt need a "inside source" to tell me that.

Like i said get over yourself dude. Im sorry i put that first part in my original post that ruffled ur feathers. But going back to my original post. I think he could slip some. But he wont slip far. He's too good to drop far and with this lockout who knows when football will start.

Good god, we are going to act like him being removed from a team draft board is not big news. For some reason this year, it's now not important that a top 5 pick is being medically red flagged.

Hell, were going to accuse me of getting upset because my information is all over the net but no one can provide a link.

Better yet any player with a injury can expect to be Medically removed from a draft board. So now in the future we can just skip over the importance of it.

Good to know.

Amazing.

Forget it.

I appreciate the inside information, and I believe you SDogo. But, really, how do we know that your information is legit? It's not like teams are going to admit on the record that they removed a person from their draft board. That's not something teams publicly acknowledge for the most part.

Again, you've established yourself as one who can get inside information. But don't get upset if people question you. That's just the nature of dealing with anonymous sources and getting insider information.

I love the inside info. I get on everyday hoping there's some info from you or hostile. Keep it up.:)

I was never being questioned, (i)I was upset at the pure lack of respect and rudeness is which my post was addressed(ii)I argued the comparison that a player being injured is the same as a player being removed from a draft board because of the injury. We cant assume all injured players=being removed from teams draft board.

To address your question, you can't know I'm legit, I gave up that battle a long time ago (although I'll admit I'm finding it harder to care enough to share publically at all with each one of these threads that develop). My track record with those who don't have an agenda or a general belief that the only truth you hear has to come from a national outlet speaks for itself.

Also, it's not uncommon at all for information like this to be released, you will hear more of it in the coming months. Finally, you have to consider a 1000 ways to get information. Take this as you will but how hard would it be for a private doctor hired but a scouting agency that does work for NFL teams to find out this information?

Sometimes you need to think outside the box when considering the source of information.
