Trash talking in the offseason between the two teams...

Jerry's "kick your ***" moment... Playing the national opener at their house... former MVP's bringing in all of the trophies... picked by no expert to win...

HUGE pressure... HUGE win for the good guys... Yankee go home...

it wasn't a huge game because we won, remember that

Did the Giants get called for holding once tonight? Horrid officiating.

yet on radio, Boomer was whining Scandrick got away with illegal contact twice, um Boomer the penalties were 13-4.

I'm as happy as anybody about the win, but for the sake of consistency, it was a road win against a quality division rival. We've got 2 more of these and three more where we have to hold serve at home. I'm so glad we got it, though, because it was more rewarding than your typical regular-season win.

You got the sense that we rose up and broke the Giants' confidence that they could beat us there in the 4th quarter when they needed to. It was nice to see.

I think tonight indicated the arrow is pointing far, far more upward than a lot of outsiders wanted to realize.

The secondary has been overhauled from top to bottom. The inside linebackers are fast and young. The receiving corps is stacked -- far beyond our wildest dreams entering training camp.

The question is our offensive line. The good news is that this isn't an aging group like we were three years ago. This should be a unit that only gets better. Also, it's worth considering that tonight will likely be the worst they look all season as a collective unit. For starters, they were going up against the best d-line in football. Secondly, this group hasn't played together at all in the preseason and has no chemistry.

It's a long road ahead, but it looks like we have a pretty good group to work with.

Someone please send a note to Mr. Faulk at NFL Network and tell him the final score :)

I think he knows...

This was a huge win for the Boys tonight.

A friend of mine who is a 9ers fan was asking me during pregame how I felt about the Giants celebrating their trophy, and banner before the game, and if I felt like this was rubbing it in our faces. I told her that I'm glad they were doing it now. I wanted our team to see, and experience this, to make them want this that much more, and to add to their resolve for that trophy.

Tonight, this team took their first step towards that goal.

It's nice to ruin someone else's big night in their house for a change.
