I can’t lie, this totally cracked me up. Enjoy
3 of those came from the same TE in one game........just curious when the last time Witten had 3 in the same gameThree more of those and he would have as many as the entire position group did in 2018.
Witten may have more touchdowns in September than the entire TE squad had last year.
From my reading, the group had 4, count 'em, 4.
Let that sink in.
They got virtually nothing from the TE position last year.

I think that's only partly because of the TEs. Partly Dak, and partly Marinelli.Three more of those and he would have as many as the entire position group did in 2018.

Jason Witten averaged 3.6 TDs per season his last 3 seasons.Three more of those and he would have as many as the entire position group did in 2018.

Witten's 2017 production, for which we paid 12 million dollars, wasn't any better than what our 2018 trash heap gave us. Let that sink in. That's what Witten is now.

Again: 16 TDs total in his last 4 seasons, for an average of only 4 touchdowns per season. A number you just said was bad earlier in the thread. By saying that level of production is bad, you admit Witten is bad.Nice cherry picking. I can do that too. How bout this? Other than his rookie year, he's never had less than 63 catches and has averaged 80 catches/yr and almost 5 TDs/yr.
And rather than a 12 million dollar contract, he's signed a 1 yr deal for $2M + incentives.
I can’t lie, this totally cracked me up. Enjoy
Nice try, bud. How's about you stop putting words in my mouth about who's bad or not. If you take the time to read and think about what I was saying in my original post, you'll see that I was comparing Witten to our entire TE group.Again: 16 TDs total in his last 4 seasons, for an average of only 4 touchdowns per season. So, okay, so now that we agree Witten is bad, let's have some more fun by taking a closer look...
Because not only is he bad, he's getting worse. In recent years, there's been a clear downward trend. 1000+ yards to 800-something yards to 700-something to 600-something to 500-something. That ain't cherry-picking, that's a clear trend. 11-point-something yards per catch to 9-something to 8-something. Again, a clear downward trend.
Just getting appreciably worse. So not only was he already bad in 2017, he's likely to be 2 years worse in 2019.
Fun!
