People don't think he has an arm...that was a 65 yard bomb. He's got plenty of arm. He's just following orders by not over exposing the playbook. this preseason...peope need to relax. Watch what happens when his O-line decides to block...and he's got some people that can make people miss a tackle.;)
That was a good play, I guess. But it's pretty clear watching him throw the last couple of games, the guy just doesn't have an zip on the ball.

Who is hijacking a thread. We have Moore that shouldn't even be near the NFL and then there are players that are way better and are sitting out. This organization keeps him around when thy should be finding a quality backup for Dak.
Just saying Kap is not a realistic sub for Moore...or any 100% backup only job
The hijack comment had to do with this possibly becoming the 20Th Kap thread
Thats all

As bad as Moore is, just glad Linehan and Garrett don't love McCown same way. McCown was playing like McClown against Rams.

Let's be honest, if Dak gets hurt within the next 6 weeks. The real backup is currently working at CBS.

QB2 continues to be a position that this club is either woefully blind about or simply does not value.

KM is one of those guys we always seem to have. They wouldn't sniff a roster spot on any other team, butttt for some reason they end up playing in Dallas because of connections.

This is a weird misconception I've seen around here before.....that we roster these players who wouldn't "sniff" a spot on any other NFL team.

You guys spouted all the same nonsense when we had Weeden - "we're the only team in the league dumb enough to sign this guy"...."we're a laughingstock for having him on our roster".....blah blah blah, etc, etc.

BUT, when we finally did cut ties with him he was literally signed by another team IMMEDIATELY.

My point? Every team has garbage QB's on their roster. The league is completely bereft of talent at the QB position. It is what it is.

Until Dak gets hurt

He'll still have the easy life even then. Making tons of money, sitting in a both talking about the game. No more worries about breaking another rib or injuring his back anymore.

Arm strength isn't really based on how far a QB can float a bomb. It is how much zip they can throw the intermediate routes such as the out route and the post. Those throws need to get there on a rope. Kordell Stewart threw a 70 yard bomb to beat Michigan in college. In the NFL he couldn't throw the intermediate routes.

Arm strength is but one weakness of Moore's. If that were his only weakness he would probably be alright in the NFL, but it is not. He is short. He also has slow feet. And to be picky he is left handed. Being left handed isn't a weakness, but it does require changes to the blocking schemes.

That seems to be a comforting delusion for some folks. Let's hope we don't need to test that theory.
