NFL.com recently caught up with NFL commisioner Paul Taglibue regarding yesturdays game between the cowboys and panthers.

Q: Was yesturdays game between the cowboys and panthers fixed?

A: All I can tell you is that it was in the NFL's best interest for the cowboys to win yesturdays game against the panthers and hopefully make the playoffs. The cowboys have been marketed as "Americas team" for quite some time now. They have a large fan base, They sell tickets, merchandise, and their players sell drugs too. Drug sells are huge part of NFL revenue. Its no secret that most cowboy fans are crackhead wife beaters. If they had a chance to see their team in the playoffs then drug sells would be through the roof. Its nothing personal against the panthers. Again, its just looking out for the leagues best interest.

Q: What is the next step to helping the cowboys make the playoffs?

A: We have already taken the first step. Now the next step is assure that falcons beat the panthers this weekend. I have already hand picked my own "officials" and they know what their assignment is. If a panther defender lays a finger on Vick he will be flagged. If Brad Hoover hands the ball to a referee after making a play, he will be flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. If Steve Smith passes gas and referee smells it, he will be ejected. We have also taken steps to assure that the cowboys beat the rams this weekend by assigning the rams another starting high school QB. Again, its nothing personal against the panthers. ITs just looking out for the leagues best interest.

Q: How long has the league been fixing games?

A: We saw how much success the World Wrestling Federation (Now the WWE) had with in the 80's. We figured we would experiment with it ourselves and of coarse we had alot of success. I mean, did you really think Joe Montana was any good? With the help of our creative staff and some of our famous "officiating" we were able to make him into a star and made alot of money along the way. We did the same thing with Troy Aikman in the 90's and Tom Brady in the 2000's. We have tried to market Micheal Vick the same way, but he has not quite matured yet. We have been told that his mother plans to stop breast feeding him when he is 30. By that time he may be ready to take the next step.

Q: Do you already know who is going to win Super Bowl XL?

A: Not only do we know who is going to win, but we have already predertmined who will win the next 6 super bowls. I dont want to give anything away. But lets just say the good guys will win. Just like they do at Wrestlemania

I don't know about fixing games, but the Cowboys schedule always seems to be pre-selected every year before anyone else's. Whether it be the opponent, location per opponent or just the time of the game. For example, the Deadskin game was changed to 3 o'clock this year for ratings. Don't kid yourself into thinking the Cowboys schedule is not carefully scrutinized by the NFL every year.

Sounds like the whine and Jeez crowd is celebrating pass-over rather than Christmas.

I hate myself when I do things like that.

It's too bad that mentality wasn't around two years ago when we played them in the play offs and they were constantly off sides on defense with no penalties called.

2 posts I wonder if he is a disgruntled Panther fan, hopefully he will be crying on a Falcon board next week.

Carolina fans are starting to remind me of Joe Gibbs after losing...it was the refs fault...whaayyyyyyyyyyy.

I guess the refs are the ones that let JJones go for 194. It was the refs fault for roughing the passer. And the ultimate, it was the refs fault for Steve "cry me a river" Smith getting ejected.

Speaking of Steve Smith, anybody see that article on Smith talking about how Davis & Williams are "dirty" players? Wish now that when Smith left the game in the third, it was because Roy knocked him out!

Why would Tagliabue fix a Cowboys game? He's a Commanders fan and hates Jerry Jones.
