Humor: What If Stephen Wants Garrett to fail?

I never said Garrett was the only one who didn't know crap. I just said I don't believe he does. Yes, Dallas did sign him but so what? We weren't the only team that was trying to sign him so that kinda speaks to the fact that other teams did know about him. All of this is really beside the point, to me. I maintain that McClay and his staff are the real drivers in identifying talent in our Organization. I mean, that's not uncommon. That's kind of how it's supposed to work?

If other teams trying to sign him means they knew something, doesn't logic dictate that the Cowboys signing him meant they knew something too?

In any case, I don't necessarily think Garrett is a strong judge of talent, I just thought Beasley was a bad example. And I don't disagree that McClay has a better eye.

No matter WHAT happens to the team there are those who will always blame Garrett. Them in another thread blame Jones. Then in another thread blame Stephen. True story.

Sounds to me like they blame a bunch of people (because it's a collective effort) and they are keeping on topic in various threads, discussing each one when appropriate to do so. That's based upon my interpretation of your description.

You interpreted incorrectly.

Absolutely it does. I mean, I don't think we disagree on that. I just don't believe that Garrett did the work on that. Getting back to it, I think to be a really good GM, I think you need to be a good evaluator of talent. I kinda compare all GMs to Ozzie Newsome, who I believe was one of the best, if not the best, GM over the last 20 years.

Or maybe you are. I'm not seeing what you see and I think we're reading the same threads...assuming you're primarily reading the threads on the front page most of the time.

You interpreted..... incorrectly.

Yeah, I don't think you have it wrong. I think that's exactly what happens a lot of times.

This is a just for fun thread, but WHAT IF Stephen wants Garrett to fail because he's tired of Garrett trying to move in on his sister. Stephen is not signing free agents on purpose so Garrett can fail and leave.

It's all in good fun so don't take it seriously

Here's my proof
  1. Notice how Stephen leans in toward Garrett blocking him from Charlotte Look at that body language I got you blocked Garrett
  2. See Garrett passing those notes to Charlotte she's reading them and he's trying to be slick
  3. Look at the shoulder lean towards Charlotte. What a sleaze. Get him Stephen

He is failing. He is getting his wish.

If Stephen wants Garrett to fail he has accomplished his mission. Garrett has been a failure from day one.

"What if SJ wants JG to fail"? He'd have the undying support of a few until he hired another who the few didn't like, then it would be back to HC and SJ bashing:)

What if Stephen wants Garrett to fail because he has taken over alot of control of the cowboys & he wants “his guy” & Garrett is jerry’s guy?.... intro music to Jack Del rio, spoiler. Its stone colds theme music “glass breaks”
