The timeline is weird and begs investigating. He flies to London, ends up in the hospital, isn't allowed to sleep because it's too risk, is discharged at 4AM and then plays a game?

He should recover fully as long as he doesn’t have to stay on blood thinners forever. The emboli probably occurred on the long plane ride home.

Where I am confused is the superficial clot due to a cleat. Yet, he spent the night before the game in the hospital for DVT. Maybe it was from the week before, IDK.

From my understanding the cleating occurred in the Rams game the week before the London game.

As a critical care RN I have witnessed far too many devastating outcomes associated with pulmonary emboli; in many cases care comes too late; so kudos to the medical staff for their quick intervention.
Hoping Jalen is able to fully recover and get back on the football field next year.

Ok, THIS is more serious. Not just a minor superficial blood clot. I have a feeling it’s from the flight….if he had a true coagulopathy, I think it would have surfaced earlier, like Tommy Frazier. Hope for his sake it’s flight related vs true blood disorder, needs to be on anti-coats for a few months, see a hematologist rule out coagulopathy.

I know he plays for the Eagles and the rivalry is supposed to make you have contempt for their team and players, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen with certain players. As a Heels fan, I had the same reaction with Grant Hill.

Obviously glad that Jalen avoided a significant PE. Very dangerous…

My wife just had her second blood clot and will likely be on blood thinners for the rest of her life. She can't even ride on a rollercoaster, so I hope it gets resolves for Hurts.

Sending prayers for Jalen. He is lucky a medical professional caught this. My wife almost died from pulmonary emboli at the end of last year. The Doctor said if I didn't get her there that night she would have died by morning.

Seems he has a clotting disorder, and I don’t imagine that bodes well for his career.

Probably going to be anti-coagulated for life.

I went through something similar about 12 years ago. They thought I had blood clots, turned out to be serious Pneumonia.

I've never been big on hurts but most of it is annoying eagles fans but tbh he seems like a solid guy and an actual leader. Hope his career can resume
