Do you think if we had a bye week then got to play Daniel Jones and the practice squad weapons we would win?

We would be in the CC game...no doubt.

Instead...we draw the SF 49ers and a top organization.
Guess what ? If Dak didn't give two games away we would have had that bye week! If the Eagles beat the Niners then what is the excuse to think Hurts is not good?

Yes Dak gave them away.

Let's see Hurts against that d. He threw for 155 vs our d....his only tpugh d he faced Ll season.

Next week will tell us a lot but I stand by my point ... saying Dak is light years ahead of Hurts at this point is silly, or stupidity as you say.

Dak is bad. Really bad. Dude throws the worst balls. If he’s better than anyone that player doesn’t need to be in the league.
That’s fine. Dak had a terrible game. That has been the Cowboys the entire season. We were up and down. Dak has the potential to be great, but he can’t stay consistent. Look at Purdy this game. He didn’t do anything special. But you know what he didn’t do??? He didn’t turn the ball over. That was the difference in this game.

I was one of the only people in this world that said Hurts is going to be pretty good if you give him weapons.

They did that and look.

Even my two best friend Eagles fans thought i was wrong on that.

Sorry...im not going to totally kill dak (he didnt do enough this game at all) with what he had around him against that defense.

Once pollard went out...it was a wrap. we need to to rethink our weaponary outside of Lamb and Pollard.

Dak has had a terrible season. scammed dallas in paying him like a franchise QB.

Agree on Pollard

Next week will be interesting, we will find out if Hurts is ready for the big stage. Hopefully he is not.

Terrible season but won 12 games? Daks just inconsistent. That’s all. The dude will be great one game and terrible the next. That’s his demise.

Jalen lapped Dak in one season. It kind of makes all the seasons Dak was been working on improving seem like an exercise in futility.

We spanked Hurts the past few years. The Eagles and 49ers actually have a GREAT front office compared to ours. Why do you think that they are possibly going back to the superbowl in the time we haven't made ONE?

49ers got to a superbowl with kaepernick, fell off, and now they are possibly back with a rookie qb. Guess what they did in free agency? Stacked the deck. Acquired talent. Guess what we did? Let tons of talent walk and go bargain budget shopping.

Guess what the Eagles do? Trade for a top WR and go crazy in Free Agency. Now Hurts looks like one of the best qbs in the league.

Dak wasn't great, but swapping out qbs won't do nothing with a cheap FO

If Hurts was a Cowboy, would he still be having an mvp season in this offense? I doubt it.

If Dak was an Eagle, would he still be throwing back breaking picks? Probably yes.

Lets see how this young Qbs do next week at crunch time, I'm afraid the conclusion will be both have surpassed Dak.

Damn, they already did just by playing next week.

Hurts is good but he is also a typical running QB. Eventually he will crash back down to earth.
Funny thing is Dak was a better football poo player when people thought of him as "your typical running QB." Hurts has improved his throwing and accuracy leaps and bounds in year 2 starting. Hurts is only going to get better, Dak has hit his ceiling.

Dak lost his legs and has no explosiveness when he runs. So teams don't count for that part of his game as a threat anymore. That was a variable that assisted him early in his career and now they know how to stack the lanes and routes with defenders where he typically throw his intermediate routes.

His long ball is no longer accurate either as was the case in the pass to Gallup, where Gallup's man was beat and we needed that play to change the momentum of the game and force SF to change the way they where playing defense.

Hurts is looking better in both regards at this point in time. Definitely an explosive runner and has accurate enough deep field arm talent.

So be it.

Hurts’ best asset is his threat to run. It’s already coming to an end. The notion he’ll be running like he does now in his 7th year in the league is for stupid people. The difference between Hurts and Prescott is that unless Hurts wins the Super Bowl this season he is not going to get paid “Dak money”. That is a Jerry Jones issue. I’d be willing to bet the Eagles don’t sign Sanders for 2023, and Kelse will not be an Eagles player in 2023. Some teams know when to move on. Dak is the best QB in the NFC East. That the Eagles are still playing is because Jerry Jones is a bad general manager.
