Interesting trade.......I would probably do it IF Reese, Bailey or Bain is there but not for Downs. I think he falls to us anyway if he gets past the Harbaugh. Besides, I could also stay home and probably get McCoy or Delane.

I’m in favor of moving up this year, but more of a small trade up not going to 6, which will cost a ton of draft capital. I would be more inclined moving up and getting day 2 picks back for that 20th pick, not just 1

I would do this deal for Downs. IMHO he and Reese would be the only players I'd trade up for this year. The draft isn't great and whoever you can get at 20 isn't going to be that much different than who you could get at 39.
So why not go get the #1 or #2 best player in the draft?

Other than getting a true 1stRd Grader, the reason this is feasible is that according to Broaddus when they undertook this exercise there wasnt a differential between players at 20 that were there at 39.

Yes, you can find players at 39. What you can’t find at 12 is a bonafide safety unless we luck into it.
