Hopefully, it would mean not having to deal with your takes.
While I may not agree with Steve I’ll take his post over the anti Dak cult leaders 7 days a week

I think he is a firm believer in their right to post the vitriol

While I don’t agree with him as it’s what’s wrong with this place I do understand why he feels like that

If only we had that free speech ability in other forums not cowboy related

That would be a hell know to this trade. Gallop had an off year because he was coming off knee surgery and it takes a while for the knee and the player to get in touch with each other. Gallop should be back to his old self this year, catching TD passes left and right if WENTZ 2.0 can get him the ball.................

Why would they trade Gallup? Money isn't an issue, hard to say there's too much talent with so many rookies/young players at skill positions in a new offense.

It's so strange to me that this fanbase has given up on Gallup. He will be fine. I'm more than happy to have him part of the offense this year. I think he'll

Um he's not done....?. Why would we make ourselves worse right now?
Addition by subtraction....there are better options at #3, so I don't want it to cost us during the first 6-8 games before the coaches finally do something about it. If he's not here, there is no option to start and play him. And we have a 3rd and 5th round gift next draft....win/win.

For example?
I already explained it...there are better options at 3 already (Tolbert.....maybe Brooks) on the team. Hell....Ced would have been a better option last year, but we let him go and let Gallup flounder around the entire 2022 season, hoping, he would improve....he didn't. Gallup is expendable....trading him now keeps that from happening again, and allows more talented WR's the opportunity to flourish.

So then, are we assuming that the other three receivers Lamb, Cooks and Tolbert, are going to experience injury free seasons? All 17 games each?

This season Gallup is far more valuable than a pair of draft picks next season. I could understand it if the Cowboys were expected to have a poor season and decided to tank the entire season for the 1st round pick. I certainly wouldn't agree with it, but I would understand why they traded him.

Otherwise,

The time for draft picks is over. The time for the NFL draft to be important is also over since the Cowboys draft position next time will be at #31 or #32. That is where a team drafts if they have just been to a Super Bowl.

I answered “who” above. And who says Gallup is balling out? I live in Dallas and see all the training camp reports, and listen to the radio shows…Brooks and Tolbert are all I ever hear about

I'd offer up Gallup and Dorrance Armstong plus a 2025 5th rounder
For Devontee Wyatt and Quay Walker and see what they say?
They give up no draft capitol

Just to see what they would say.
