Hypothetical: If Denver was openly shopping Tebow...

Would it be worth a look. I'd think so if we could get him for something like a 3rd. I think the team is actively looking for another young QB to develop and Tebow would be an interesting option. We all know about the intangibles and his winning habits, maybe we could further develop him and possibly have something in another year or two

This is not about Romo, more about not having any developmental QB on the roster with starter potential in the future.

I wouldnt trade Alan Ball for Tebow

Tebow?

Really?

The guy has horrible mechanics. He couldn't challenge for the starter's job in Denver because he was so bad.

I think Mcgee has a greater upside but that isn't saying much. I don't think Tebow will ever be a good qb unless a team decides a to tailor their offense to his strengths. A third is a little high and I would stay away.

And they were still chanting Tebow Tebow Tebow.

Go figure

McGee clearly has better upside, and in fact, the way he keeps stringing some nice comebacks togehter late in games in critical moments, actualy says a ton (positively) aobut his progress. Basically, it means Dallas does not have to use a first day pick any time soon drafting a QB.

The fact the Broncos have almost completely given up on him says he isn't worthy a 3rd rounder. Heck, most thought he wouldn't go until the 3rd round when he got drafted, and his stock has taken a big hit since then. I'm not sure I would bother with him for a 6th or 7th round pick, but cwertainly nowhere near a 3rd.

Tebow, seriously? And you want to give a 3rd round pick on top? for a 3rd string QB? Cowboys fans are dumb!

Romo is perhaps my favorite player in Cowboys history, and I really wanted us to get Colt McCoy if he had slipped.

He would have been a perfect backup to Romo.

So every decision Denver makes is the right one? The fans in Denver are in an uproar because the only time they've been competitive the past 2 seasons is when Tebow is in the game. There seems to be some bias against him with their new coaching regime. Analysts are writing him off because most of them don't want to see him succeed, yet he had 11 TDs to 3 turnovers last year as a rookie, that's pretty good. No one wants to talk about how well he played at the end of last year when he got a chance, 17 point comeback against Houston:

Im not advocating a trade for this guy but ive always wondered why a guy with the abilities and work ethic he supposedly has couldn't eventually overcome his deficiencies through hard work, study and practice. If I'm not mistaken, that's what Romo did, is there something he lacks that can't be overcome with practice?

What I think people are missing about Tebow is that while he wasn't worth a first round pick, he can be a great situational/specialty player.

He is $$ near the goalline because he is an absolute monster running the ball and he can throw it effectively enough to present a threat that has to be accounted for by the defense.

I know it will never happen with us but if you used him as a specialty player and inserted him near the goalline I would bet anything your success rate in the redzone would improve significantly.

The guy had something like 10 TDs in only 3 or 4 games played last year. That is a large number.
