What's everybody's thoughts on this? Do you think McClay and staff have something up their sleeve like a draft day trade for Sherman or anything? I really don't believe they let majority of our secondary leave without having a plan and I don't think that's relying solely on the draft.

Do you think they had a heads up on Sherman being on the block? Do they have something in the works with Seattle?

Then again, it's unlikely for Seattle to trade their best defender to a team they more than likely have to get by in the playoffs. Who knows?

My thoughts on anything involving McClay.

Any moves will be minor. Even any of our own FA's left. May not be signed until after the draft.
Maybe, if cap friendly deals, which I think they want too much, would be players like TJ McDonald or Hankins. Those may happen, but I doubt it.

Resigning our own like QB Moore or LB's Durant or Gackhar most likely will be after the draft. Depending on how the draft goes, will determine any FA's still out there.
Now there may be some maneuvering right before TC for some vet players. But between now and the draft, there most likely won't be much news. Rumors, yes, news, no.

No I don't think they have something in place with Seattle. I thing they stick to their plan to continue to build through the draft. And we will get 1000 threads of why aren't we signing players...players that will just cause more whining..LOL...whine because we haven't signed anyone, whine because we didn't sign the player NE signed...so whine because we got the player NE didn't sign....
You know, the normal day to day whining...

They signed back McFadden and Moore to shore up backup RB and QB.

This really could be where they close up shop for the draft.

The "free agency isn't over yet" crowd might not think so, but it is quite possible.

I think they sign another DB in a week or two when the market had really driven down prices.

I still have this feeling they sign Darrelle Revis to a 1-year deal. There's should be no way we go into the draft with the secondary in it's current position.

Personally, I'd take a chance on TJ McDonald (USC homer) and Justin Gilbert (we seem to love athletes). I don't think those two are world-beaters, but I'd be happier if Heath (garbage) and the corners, Brown and Carroll, had more competition.

Yeah, I'd like to see another vet CB in here.

Hell NO to Sherman, Maybe another week or 2 and some real low level pick ups might happen. But like others here, I kinda think FA for us is mostly over.

King Dunlap?

I would like this. But imo, the staff is dead set on letting often injured Chaz Green take over.

I would like to sign Blanton and Moore. Makes the draft a bit less of a crap shoot

Sherman to Dallas for Romo, then Seattle flips Romo to the Texans for draft picks.
