Lions greatest need is at corner. I would propose a trade of Diggs for St. Brown and a 1st round pick. Both Diggs and St. Brown are on a rookie deal. You can replace Diigs with the first round pick and help solve the WR issues with this trade.

At present, Lions are being run intelligently. Not sure why anyone would think they'd make foolish trades at this point, especially considering how they ended the season on a high note and have the 6th pick in the draft from the Rams. And then consider they have two 1sts and two 2nds.

Won't happen, Dan Campbell likes players in defense who play physically. I dont think he would want the matador Diggs.

Why would the Lions be interested in that trade?

Who plays CB for the Cowboys? They need 1 CB even with Diggs on the roster.

Any CB in FA or the draft available to the Cowboys would be available to the Lions.

The Lions have picks #18 and the Cowboys have pick #26. That means the Lions likely have CB optios that the Cowboys will not have available if any CBs are draft from #18 to #25.

Maybe they wouldn’t be interested, but corner is a much higher value position than wr and harder to find. St. Brown was a lower round pick.

If they they view Diggs as a turnover magnet maybe they think that a sure thing in Diggs beats a bird in the bush. Maybe they think that Diggs makes them relevant next year.

Then again, St. Brown is a very high volume receiver that would be hard for them to part with. But drafting a #1 corner even in the first round is not a sure thing.

Why do you view corner as a much higher value position? Top corners don’t get paid close to what top WRs get paid. Additionally, there are far more 20+m$ WRs in the NFL than CBs. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more than double.

Why would Dallas trade away their top CB when they already need one on the other side.

Should the Bills and Bengals trade QBs?

They aren't making that trade.
Not even close, V
