What happens when and if we bring in the next great thing as HC, he hires a staff and we end up no better or worse? Who takes the blame then?
Does it fall to the players?

It depends, I think. If the same players are struggling in different schemes then yes, the players are at fault. If we don't change much (e.g. internal hire like Palmer) then no.

Some of these players (e.g. Spears) are just plain busts; we never should have drafted them. But our D was doing well until Ellis went down. Any other coach in the POs would have plugged somebody in and kept right on going, EXCEPT you know who.

We've seen this D play a lot better than they are now. This has got to be a coaching problem and I think it belongs to Parcells himself. He was in feeling sorry for himself after the game today. Did you listen to the PC? From him it spread to Romo. We need a vigorous coach that can get these guys playing again...
