Would anyone here after basically 2 halves of football trade Dak straight up for the following...

Wentz, Goff, or Lynch??

Are we all 100% sold? I think I am...

title should say, "it's been half of two preseason games"

shouldn't we see the others play too?

So far so good for Dak.

I think I am too. Of course he's got a ways to go but from what I saw, he's got the tangibles that I believe will translate to success. So with that, nope, would rather stick with him.....as they say, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!

The only thing any of those QBs have over Dak is arm strength, and Dak showed last night that he has no problems making deep throws. People didn't think Dak could play under center in the NFL, yet he has proven to be more comfortable with that than any of the other QBs.

I'm trying not to hype this draft class too much, but it's very possible Dallas got the best RB, MLB, and QB from the 2016 draft. Who knows how these guys' careers turn out, but the talent is there for this to be their best draft in a decade.

I'm super excited about him. I know I had no idea he would be this good starting out. I know Twitter and ESPN are telling us to calm down. No. So what if it's the Preseason. I know I feel better now then I have in awhile. The games became so painful to watch last year. We would be happy if any of the QB's completed a pass over 5 yards. It's just nice to know that the Cowboys might of gotten the steel of the draft

It's clearly too early to answer the question. Getting off to the fastest start doesn't guarantee winning the race.

But...Dak has been so good that it absolutely leaves you asking the question you did. Which is pretty damn impressive.

My question to you is simple: Did any of those QBs taken before Dak cut their teeth in the SEC?

I merely answered your question with the correct question. If I was a die hard of any of those teams that took a QB before the Cowboys, I'd be envious as ****!

Don't want Wentz, Goff or Lynch's contract. So for that alone, keep Dak.

I'll say this.

If the Eagles had taken Prescott, for example, and he did for them what he's done for us in the first two preseason games, there is little doubt in my mind the prevailing thought around here would be, "slow your roll, it's two preseason games against defenses not playing all their starters and being vanilla on defense with no game planning."

That's just the nature of being a fan.

I get that, but this sunshine-slinging fan sees a rookie with the IT FACTOR backing up Romo. And considering NO rookie QB that was drafted before or after has done anything as well as Prescott up to this point, I'm inclined to be guilty as charged... giddy as ****!

He looks really good, and for a rookie he has poise !!!

Watching Goff look terrible...no.

He's not looking good in his second showing thus far -- 4/7 42 yds 2 sacks 2 fumbles (1 lost), nearly picked off in first series of third quarter. He's easily been outplayed by Foles (yikes!).

I know it's only the second week of preseason, but Dak is looking more and more fantastic each time one of these higher drafted QB's performs. Goff is staring down his receivers, not going through any of his progressions, first-read check-down passes only, and can't even make those. His line hasn't played well, that's surely not helping, either

Edit -- Goff looked better in his last series, leading the Rams to a TD (badly thrown pass to Malcolm Brown)

So Dak, Ez E, Jones, Collins maybe Gregory and Smith? Could be quite a haul over the last two drafts. If Dak is just there as a potential franchise QB the trajectory of the team changes dramatically. The mood here has certainly flipped and I'd wager they're giddy over at the Star as well.

Wow two fumbles?

Wasn't that the big knock on him? Hand size possibly leading to fumbles?

Were they reasonable fumbles?

The first was a strip sack -- he should have just went straight down, but even then KC collapsed the pocket pretty quickly so I wouldn't be too hard on him for the first (lost) fumble. The second was a scramble to the sidelines on a third and long, didn't have much of chance to make a play, regardless. Rams retained possession on that one tho, only to punt on next play.

The real story for Goff is, yet again, another disappointing overall performance, fumbles not withstanding :)

I personally have given up on Gregory. He is a waste.....
