first and foremost happy Mother's Day to any mom in the CZ. Rams need OL in a bad way and I still believe this team could use a young bellcow. Free is the leader so he is untouchable IMO but what about Green for Mason straight up? Heck even Green and a 6? Why green...you ask well with Barksdale drafted you have a young tackle to groom just like you would with Green. I know pipe dream but a trade that makes sense IMO.
Have a great Mother's Day everybody.

I'd rather offer that trade to Miami for miller. Throw in Claiborne and we are grooving

I haven't seen enough of Mason as a Ram to make that call. Now if he still plays like he did with Auburn then heck yes.

He played decent last year once he took the starting role. He had a stacked opposition each game with no line and no qb.

I like Miller as well just not as much as Mason. Miller is a brittle RB where as Mason is small but plays like a big back. Heck I hear ha though and would take either one over the current stable.

Great idea, since we got Collins this makes a lot of sense.

The Rams traded Stacy and Gurley is coming off an ACL. They are not trading him. Next.

The problem is finding a partner who values Green like we do. We drafted him a few rounds higher than he was projected. So the return on him probably won't be as high as his perceived value is to us.

I love the idea in theory and I had the same thought- we got Collins for free so now Green is expendable. I just don't think we'll get the return we want.

I think the most likely scenario is trading a draft pick for a RB.

Free is untouchable because he can't walk right now, no one would trade for him. No way the Rams will trade Mason after they just traded away Stacy. I don't understand whay people want to trade away team depth when the Cowboys just now finally got some.

I do like Mason a lot. He was my favorite back in last year's draft.

However, I don't think there is any way they'd trade him now that Stacey is gone. They probably would if the trade was lopsided in their favor... but I do not want to see that happen.

So, good Idea but it doesn't look like it is realistic. Had they still had Stacey, it would be possible, IMO.

Team's value their own draft picks more than any other team values that pick. That how they end up with that pick in the first place. The Rams drafted Mason in the 3rd so they likely had a 2nd round grade on him. The Rams likely didn't value Green as high as the Cowboys did, therefore he is probably a 4th round value to them. You can't get a 2nd round pick for a 4th and a 6th.

Every year there are players people seem to think have trade value, and for more than they are really worth. Sometimes I am surprised at these trades when they do happen. Rather we get a pick, or give up a pick. Usually later rounds.

They usually don't work out. McClain was an exception and unusual. Teams usually wait knowing guys will have to be released eventually.
However I think this year we seem to possibly have more than usual that may fall into this category as trade possibilities. But how many, if any will happen.

though Jerry say no OL will be traded. as most would think Leary. But this is the first I seen Green mentioned. Leary would be before Greem IMO, as Leary is one one year deal.
But what about 2 guys they liked from last year. weeks and Wetzel. Possible 7th round conditional picks.

ST type guys and back ups, Cam Lawrence and Wilber. ,aye even a few of the young DL if they look to be good. Coleman, Gardner. But these are the type I meant, they may look good to us, but another team may not view them as that. Other teams have the same type of guys.

Will be interesting to watch though.
