1.you would have to pay Barkley soon.
2. Barkley is a home run running back like Barry. Fun and flashy to watch. But tons of negative runs. Zekes running style fits the cowboys time control offense much better.

Why in the world would the Giants make that trade?

They have control over Barkley's rights for the next 4 years, 6 if needed.

They are rebuilding so why would they want to acquire Zeke and they pay him top 2 RB money? What does Zeke do that Barkley can't? That extra first round pick isn't enough compensation to make them even remotely consider this trade.

Barkley is younger and has no off-field concerns.

Also, teams in the same division rarely make trades, at least not trades of substance.

When the Eagles traded McNabb to the Commanders a few years back, it meant they had zero fear of McNabb beating them.
