Hypothetically, if the Cowboys had snapped the ball before the ref set it

.....what would the penalty have been, and what would the name be?

Would it merely cost the Cowboys yardage, or also run time off the clock?

Think if Bosa hadn't got hurt, he makes an impact. We need to simply lick our wounds realize with 14 penalties we ain't beating the Jags and move on. All this about the refs and.....sheesh! Hold many holding penalties did we have? We played a dumb game we all saw it. So just keep beating ourselves up over it?

That's interesting, surely been better than letting the clock run out!!! Take the penalty and try a "Hail Mary".....

I believe any offensive penalty that occurs within the final 2 minutes while the clock is currently running results in a 10 second runoff or the offensive team can use a timeout, if it has one remaining to avoid the runoff.

As @Haimerej pointed out, it would most likely be called a delay of game violation, much like what happens when the ball carrier throws the ball too far away from their area after a play ends.
