I’ll admit it was fun watching the cowboys win today

We watch football because we want to see our team win. It's literally why we're fans.

I love the draft. But you pick where you pick based on how good your team is. It's pointless to cheer for a higher draft pick. But it does provide some solace when you suck so bad.

You use the term tank to prop up your argument. That’s what people with weak arguments do. No one is asking the team or the front office to throw a game. The team is plenty awful enough to lose without any help, some are just hoping for that outcome so this season can have some semblance of meaning.

The team will win or lose without anyone hoping for losses. Some do want the team to lose. Is that not true?

Any one see Jerry Jones (the entrenched general manager)? All smiles. Front office does not want to tank.

Any one see Mike McCarthy? Looked pumped. Coaching does not want to tank.

Any one see the players' expressions? Excitement. Players do not want to tank.

Who's left?

Fans.

Scratch that.

Some fans want wins. Other fans want losses which will land undecided high draft spots for players who may be available and who super genius Jerry Jones hands in the draft card to acquire.

What does this all mean?

Well. The people who have any say in wins or losses do not want to tank. And a portion of fans who watch the team win or lose but have zero say in wins or losses do not like today's outcome.

Life. Through a weird lens.
Fans had rather have the chance to draft elite talent that could help this team win for years to come instead of winning a couple meaningless games that will only serve to eliminate any chances of obtaining the elite talent needed on this team. This organization deserves to be the toilet for the rest of the NFL at this point.

It’s true and it’s not the definition of tanking. Simple enough for you?
Why are you taking offense? I am not posting threads or comments wanting the team to lose games to fulfill hypothetical drafting scenarios months in advance.

Two games remaining. Maybe they will lose both. Maybe split. Maybe win both. We all eventually see how it all unfolds.

Edit: Or there might be a tie or two thrown into the mix too. Who knows?
