I’m not impressed with the 49ers

Same here
People including alot of our fans are so scared of them, but they beat us by ONE score.
They beat us twice and one time with a QB that shouldn't even have been in the same room with Dak. Yet we were outclassed. This whitewashing of past games by homers is really embarrassing.

I'm not saying they are the juggernaut some think they are. But they don't have to prove anything against us. It's us who have some unfinished business with them. So let's crush them on the field and prove that we're the fox in the henhouse now.

I’m impressed with them but they’re not invincible. They thrive on short passes and YAC. Our defense is a fast smothering defense. Our offense showed last week we can move the ball against a top defense. Our offensive line is getting healthy and younger guys are getting reps. Hopefully the football gods have said enough injuries for us. When we lost to them in the playoffs we were already without Steele, Brown, Lewis and we lost Pollard. Then Dak sucked.

It will come down to 2 things. 1 can our defense sack Purdy and swarm to the ball preventing YAC. 2. Can Dak and the offense, mostly Dak, get the monkey off his back and play a good game against the 49ers. It’s going to come down to Dak.

One thing to remember. The Jets had the #2 passing defense and the 49ers had the #1 passing defense. Well we just beat the Jets and moved the ball well with Richards and Bass playing for Tyler and Martin for parts of the game. That’s encouraging. But Dak will have to get over the mental issue. The 49ers have his number for some reason. It’ll be wild, reminds me of the 90’s when the only 2 teams that mattered were us and the niners.

I'm gonna go on record as saying a lot of Daks mental hurdles were KM related. I think we will see a more fluent offense this time around. It has to be easier as a qb facing a fierce defense to throw more quick out, crossing routes, rub routes etc than waiting on curls and wr adjustments to develop.

Maybe we are maybe we’re not.

The thread statement was “I’m not impressed.”

Anyone who watches the NFL should be able to recognize they are a very high quality team.
No, you start at a subservient point in comparison.

SF 441 yards, 26 1st downs
NY 150 yards, 10 1st downs
15-10 midway through the 3rd quarter...12-20 start of the 4th. The Giants didn't have their starting running back the entire game...

The Giants were doing a lot of arm tackling as well.

Just watch, when our defense holds those 49ers to 3rd & long, if our LBs or DBs blast their ball carriers with sudden hard but legal hits, the refs are going to help the 49ers by throwing flags on our defense, thus keeping those 49ers drives alive so they can score.

Just watch. Mark my words. Crooked refs are going to help the 49ers as much as possible. Cowboys are going to be forced to play 2 teams on the field at the same time.

I have been very critical of Dak and frankly didn’t want him after last year. With that being said I feel you’re right. Dak looks different this year. Maybe Kellen was the problem. As of these last 2 games I would say that Kellen looked like the problem.

Dak is playing better. And also to go with your point about quick passes and the change of the offense. I feel you’re dead in accurate. Kellen’s play calling would require long developing plays. Also complicated plays. McCarthy seems to be using a less complicated offense. Even Turpin said “guys don’t have to think as much”. That plays into Dak’s strengths. So I feel you’re right. Maybe the mental issue was Kellen was causing Dak to process more. Hopefully he maintains his level of play because if he does we will be the 49ers and just everyone else.

You mean like what they did tonight. Every good Giants’ play there was a flag. It was disgusting.

Moore's play analysis was on his own design metrics and not protection of the pass itself.

Great teams can't play great for 17 straight games. However, they can usually still win ugly when they have to.

That's all we saw last night. Don't worry, it will be a different level of intensity against our Cowboys, I can promise you that.

I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope they are at their best when the Cowboys beat them. I hope the Cowboys manage to take away more than a single victory from the 49ers, they need to mess with their confidence.

They think they’re all that. I’m not impressed. I hope we put the whoop on them. Not just beat them. Crush them.
Two things must happen for Dallas to beat them. Hold them under 80 yards rushing. Dallas must Rush for 120+ yards.

Lets stop this charade please.

Remember last year? When the Packers looked absolutely awful? We lost to them. Probably because Rodgers makes this team shake in their boots for some odd reason.

It doesn’t matter how “awful” or “unimpressive” a team looks. We can get bodied any day of the week. I think a lot of this (deserved) nervousness comes from a place of knowing the 49ers have our number. They may look “unimpressive” but that can turn around real quick when the nervous Dallas Cowboys comes to town. The 49ers look quick. Their run game is dominant. Defense smothering. Their strengths match our weaknesses. With Diggs gone, I’m even more concerned when you have speedsters like Deebo out there. Not to mention our offensive line is already falling apart. Martin, hurt. Tyler Smith, hurt. Tyron Smith, hurt. Biadiaz, hurt. We’re in for a troublesome day.
I doubt very much, Dallas as a team is not nervous. They will be looking forward to the challenge.

It is the fans that are nervous, and not all fans, just the loudest.
SF is a very good team. When I see a fan(s) saying they are not impressed. It could be they are not impressed because SF is not winning 60 - 0 like some on here portray them to be that good.
They are not not that good, but they are pretty dang good. They had lot of great plays last night, many picked out the bad plays to say they are not that good.

It will be a very tough game in a tough place to play for sure. I just will take it game by game.
If we win, great move on to the next game, if we lose, move on to the next game. It is only game 5, a long way to go.

They are good and a problem. Can’t beat them unless some their keys players get banged up.

I am more concerned how many time will they show that stupid catch ... but they won't show the plays when we beat them.

How about the time they were supposed to have killed us, but Tony Romo with broken ribs, and supposedly a punctured lung hits Jesse Holly in OT for the win. They won't show that.

I said this in another thread, 2007 taught me whatever wins or losses happen in the regular season has no bearing on the playoffs. It’s only 1 game and after that game we have 12 games left then hopefully the playoffs. There’s so much football left to play.
