I also predict that the Giants are going to stumble (very soon) because:

a) They are peaking too soon with 8 games to play
b) Injuries are mounting on bothe sides of Giant football and eventually at team will expose Giant weakiness
c) Their offense has dropped from #2 to #8 over the past two weeks
d) Their defense has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time this year
e) Their Strength of Schedule for their remaining games is brutal
f) The older age of their star players will be a factor in remaining games
g) Tiki is rackin' up yards without scoring TDs, odds say that something will have to give. Either he will start scoring TDs, or he will stop running up the big yards

We will see........

That's really not going out on a limb, considering their schedule

Nov 12 Chicago 8:15pm 147 152
Nov 20 @Jacksonville 8:30pm 125 123
Nov 26 @Tennessee 1:00pm 153
Dec 3 Dallas 1:00pm 130 119
Dec 10 @Carolina 1:00pm 153 153
Dec 17 Philadelphia 1:00pm 130 119
Dec 24 New Orleans 1:00pm 125 125
Dec 30 @Washington 8:00pm 125 124

Personally, I think there are 7 teams that could beat the Giants and yes that includes the Commanders :p: .

I could see the same thing happening... Plax is running his mouth and he might not even play... another player OUT...

I gotta tell ya... I dont think you would call what they have done "peaking"... they have "skidded" by these teams the last month or so...

I don't believe they have peaked at all, they were starting to, until everyone started to get hurt. The good news about all of these injuries is that everyone is expected to come back, except Arrington and Toomer.

Strength of schedule could be a big factor, however, many were stating this at the beginning of the season, and they came out of that at 6-2.

Also, if the Giants were rated as a top 10 defense after the 1st 3 games, I would be shocked. So it's not the first time. I feel like they can "get by" for a little bit. This team has showed a lot of character during the first half of the schedule, if it keeps up I think they'll be able to do well.

If the injuries continue, however, things could go downhill REALLY fast. I think the Bears game will say a lot about where this team is headed.

How is their depth, have much or not? That is the key as to if the can get by for a few games. If Miami can go to Chicago and win, then the Giants have a shot at home against them. I am not counting on this being a loss for NY. But I will be pulling for Chicago no doubt.

trying to be objective I'll answer a couple of those...

d) I've been looking at the D stats for the entire NFC East all year and the Giants never were in the top 10. Their stats have been getting increasingly better every week. Remember how bad they started? How could they have been in the top 10 after that seattle game?

e) their strength of schedule for the first 8 games was even more brutal

g) Tiki has racked up the yards without a lot of TDs for the past 3 years. I wish he'll slow down but your point doesn't make any sense. What he does inside the 5 yard line doesn't apply to what he does between the 20s

I'm not betting on Rex Grossman on the road, in windy Giants stadium. I would love to see him not turn it over, and be able to run the ball on the Giants.

Yeah... you would think at some point that Lovie has to shorten the leash on Grossman... conservative and careful... go for the win... not the blowout

I think Giants will beat the Bears.

As for Tiki, I'm not sure what you're saying. Brandon Jacobs is the short yardage back, and he gets the majority of the touchdowns.

I hate to say it but most likely they will win 4 more games and go 10-6 and win the division.

I think we could get to 10-6, but we have to win a game we are not supposed to like Indy, and also win at NY. Let's face it...Almost every game in the NFL comes down to a couple plays when 2 good teams are playing. We make em we win, if the other team makes em we lose. Look at the Carolina and Skins games. Key makes that catch they might have won, and TO makes the catch against the Skins, and I have no doubt we win.

They have pretty good depth, the only problem is that most of that depth is having to play right now. If they lose one or two more guys on defense (especially the front 7), there could be a very serious issue.
